Has anyone tried jetchip?
If it's the same outfit that used to be based in Huntington Beach California, I wouldn't use them.
They don't seem to list anything for your car anyhow, do they?
Years ago, someone gave me a "plug in" module for my '95 Impala SS.
I thought this was very generous of them because that module retailed for about $250.
I took the trouble to install it and what a disappointment.
It did nothing but raise the ship points even at light throttle, which were already to high.
And at full throttle, it would over-rev, going way past the max. HP before it would shift.
Drag strip comparisons revealed no differences in performance from stock.
I removed it, and couldn't give it away, so I wound up throwing it into the trash!
Now as to what I think of jet chips . . .
I recommend SpeedTuning. They do really top notch work.
You'll gain 21 HP and 25 nm torque.
You'll need to send your box in and the charge is $275.
Overnight UPS both ways is expensive at $134, but your car will then only be 'down' for less than 48 hours.
Call and talk to Oliver, and he'll set it up for you.

The car looks really nice. I picked up an 04 E320 in Jade Black in September. It has a 422 package on it and it looks really nice. I really dig the wheels you put on as well as the exhaust ips. Which ones are those? If you don't mind.....

"You'll gain 21 HP and 25 nm torque." This sounds like a modest gain that might be well worth it. Especially since I loose this much power here in the mountains anyway. If these gains are true, then I imagine they are not enough to really stress the engine.

Their "more aggressive" program gave mine an additional 45 hp and 90 nm torque, and mine seems to love it!
Surely less gain on a larger gas motor will be fine.
There are 3.0L gas engine today that have even higher outputs, and they are factory.
Call and talk to Oliver. Or email him with your questions and concerns like I did.
Tell him that I recommended SpeedTuning.
BTW, I get nothing for you doing that. I'm simply a very satisfied customer.
