There is a firmware update MB is pushing: 2019040001 ENG. SFT. - SA said that MB was doing this to bring all affected cars within "specification". After reading some other's experience with issues after this update was applied, including loss of power, we asked them not to apply this. Just got the car back and paperwork said they did not. Need to take a drive w/o wife to see how it feels, but felt normal at low throttle on the drive home...
Please share a link to other owners experiences with ths MB SW update. I have searched "Mercedes 2019040001" and I did not find any user experience comments.
This was posted about the time my car went in - doesn't have that campaign number and yes it was diesels. Frankly whatever might be "out of specification" is just fine by me on my car. I found it interesting that the M278 in the lighter '14 E550 tested in reviews slower than the '12s. I'll stick to my paranoia...
This may be a toughie. Just purchases a Canadian 2016 E63 S AMG Wagon. It came with no useable service data (Car came with all manuals and service booklet, but for a different VIN!) Only a shrug from selling dealer...not MB. MBUSA does not provide recall info on non-USA vehicles. My VIN is WDDHH7GB4GB202047 if you can provide any information. TIA
See attachment for service requirements. For MB service history you will need to contact dealer to request Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) they should readily provide info verbally however, dealer discretion dictates for providing hardcopy.
I had a couple of different questions. First question is I have 2014 E350 Sport and the driver seat cushion is coming apart at the seams, wondering if there was a thread on this and if others have this issue. Second question is, does anyone have link or a website that sells matte black grilles for my model of car along with other matte black accessories? Thanks in advance everyone.

MBUSA released bulletin, because a specific VIN range is not documented for 212 seat cover replacement is only covered under factory warranty. If you maintain your vehicle through MB dealer i.e.: scheduled services, etc. MB may honor goodwill replacement.
My car is currently having a "support clip" installed on the IC for a rattle from the gauge cluster. I cannot find any such TSB in this thread - the closest I found was
LI68.10-P-061068 MAR15 – 218 instrument cluster noise, dealer will apply felt to IC facade.
But that's for the CLS. Any idea what they might be doing to my car?
If not listed in invoice narrative request bulletin ID.
Seems typical SA BS. He said something about support clip TSB.. today he said the tech removed and reinstalled the IC and the rattle noise is gone. No further mention of a TSB. Picking car up tomorrow, fingers crossed that nasty rattle is gone.
Diesel engines, unlike gasoline engines, do not use spark plugs to induce combustion. Instead, they rely solely on compression to raise the temperature of the air to a point where the diesel combusts spontaneously when introduced to the hot, high pressure air.

What is that? replying to what?
Post above was about dashboard rattle by Instrument cluster
Are there any bulletins for E250 BT WDDHF0EB9FB123990 for somewhat rough 1-2 shifts when cold? I also get a very occasional slamming downshift when driving aggressively, usually when rapidly transitioning from braking to acceleration.
Car is 2015 with 35k, hasn’t had transmission fluid changed yet. I also have not reset the adaptive shift logic yet. If that is recommended the procedure would be very useful. Thanks ahead of time for any help.
LI27.50-P-071658 AUG20 – Vehicles w/725 transmission when changing gear range from P to D or R harsh engagement may be noticeable, the engagement sequence must be taught in again as follows: Start the engine from cold: engage gear P, wait at least 5 seconds; gear D, wait at least 5s; gear P, wait at least 5s; gear R, wait at least 5s. Repeat this process for the engagement processes into D and R 10 times. Then drive the vehicle in up to 3rd gear max., to cool the plates. Also repeat the above procedure with the transmission at operating temperature (approx. 50°C) and running hot (approx. 70°C).

If the complaint is eliminated by experimentally loosening the outboard collar nut (by 1 turn), the problem is due to cracking of the microweld between the wheel bearing inner race and the joint housing of the side shaft. The collar nut must always be replaced after being loosened. Coat contact surface of side shaft with wheel bearing with Molykote paint (MB part # 0009890152).
LI33.30-P-056665 SEPT20 – All Mercedes-Benz cars with front-wheel drive and 4x4 vehicles single throttle lift-off clunking noise from the side shaft when moving off (audible at the outboard end). The clunk is heard once when changing from forward to reverse (and vice versa). If the complaint is eliminated by experimentally loosening the outboard collar nut (by 1 turn), the problem is due to micromovement in the connection between the wheel bearing inner race and the joint housing of the side shaft. The collar nut must always be replaced after being loosened and must be tightened to the specified torque. Coat contact surface of side shaft with wheel bearing with Molykote paint (MB part # 0009890152).
LI27.50-P-049281 SEPT20 – 722.9 transmission when changing gear range from P to D, harsh engagement may be noticeable, engagement sequences for N-D and N-R must be taught in again as follows (always remain in the gear ranges N/R/D for at least 5 sec): start the engine from cold, shift 5 times N-R, shift 5 times N-D -> warm up transmission to 40°C and while doing so, exceed a speed of 30 mph at least once. Shift 5 times N-R, shift 5 times N-D -> warm up transmission to 70°C and while doing so, exceed a speed of 30 mph at least once. Shift 5 times N-R, shift 5 times N-D.
