What color would you choose?
I'm planning to order the E350 Sport but have no idea as to what colors best compliment this car. The interiour will be black for sure.
What do you guys like the best, iridium silver, palladium silver or steel gray? I like them all but can only order one

I'm trying to figure out what is the best color on the car too. I like black but I'm not sure if it brings out the best in the car. When I went to my dealership, I saw a sedan in capri blue and it looked amazing. Pearl beige also stands out to me but I've only seen it in pictures. Out of your choices, I'd go with iridium silver.

I personally think on cars with harder edges and a masculine/boxy-ish look you're best colors are non metallics, or darker, i.e Black, White, Dark Blue, Dark Grey, etc. I think silvers and the like look good on just about anything, but are a bit more at home on sleeker cars. It all comes down to opinion and preference though.

The new E looks best in dark colors.
Trending Topics
Here is my 2 cents after several visits to 3 dealerships.
This concerns sedan only.
Indium and Steel Grey and Palladium Silver - the car looks smaller in these colors than in any other color.
White - bad *** color, it is very IN now, very MAC, the car looks great in this color. maintenance over time is a problem. also I think white cars "age" quicker.
Black - W212 looks better than W211 in black. it does not look smaller or similar to C class as W211 does. however, MBs leather choices, with the exception of black Napa, are too much of a contrast with this exterior color choice.
Metallic Pearl Beige - it is a beautiful color, very rich, very bourgeois, very plush....but I am not sure if it would work well with the Sport Package. You see, the SP defaults to two-tone interior that will have black in it. in my view that does not work well with this exterior color. on another note, i think this color works well for either a man or a woman. I also think this color is for people who want to have their E feel like a luxury yacht.
Metallic Quartz Blue and Metallic Jade Green - cannot say anything as I have not seen those yet.
Metallic Iridium Silver - nice color, but if there are any non-MB undertones in the W212 they come out via this color.
Metallic Capri Blue - my favorite. this color is amazing on W212 in my view. mbusa.com or the official brochure do not do it justice at all because both publications contain totally wrong calibrations of it. german website does show the color closer to the reality. in real life it draws you. in dim light you will first think that it is a very deep black, then as you come closer you will realize that the color has more depth than black. in natural light this color stands out confidently . the metallic in it is very subtle. it helps "shape" the car exactly right - not too much and not too little. it works well with SP or Luxury configurations. and it works, in my view, with any leathers that mb currently offers....although I would not go for natural beige leather choice

I like the idea of Metallic Quartz Blue with the Natural Beige interior, but I have a gut feeling the Metallic Blue will bring out the Hyundai comparisons.
Metallic Beige Pearl with Black interior would most likely be my choice. I think the build your own page has some mistakes though. It appears all the color choices are set up for the Sport model only, which makes selecting certain color combination's impossible. Such as choosing Metallic Beige with Black interior and Burl Walnut trim. If you are ordering a Luxury model, then this color option should be available.
As I've mentioned in another post, my first choice would be Metallic Diamond White, but sadly its only available in the Coupe. Not to mention the crazy price of $1,515, yes more than double the normal Metallic Paint charge. I would also love to see Cognac be offered as an interior choice like it is for Euro spec cars, but that's just wishful thinking.

Updating my post.
I saw a Metallic Indium Grey E350 at my dealership and have fell in love with that color. I would still like to see the Metallic Pearl Beige in person to make a full decision though. Also might like to add that it's come to my attention that the Cognac/Black interior was offered in the w211 E in 2009, so why the heck did they drop it for the w212?

Saw a Steel Grey w/Natural Beige Leather, it was a real head-turner. I've had a good number of MB's and my experience has been to go with a metallic if you want a dark color. The metallic will not show swirl and small surface scratches as much as the solid dark non-metallic paint.
After seeing the white E Class here,I have decided to change the color of my car to white with black interior. Originally I had ordered Palladium with grey interior. The car has the Sport trim package with Pano roof so it should look exactly like the car on this thread. I hope I won't regret this. I was surprised that I could still make a change at this late date. Dealer has advised me the July 20th build actually means the last decade of the month. That means it will be built sometime in the last 10 tens days of the month. In any event, the computer accepted the change.

I am getting the new E350 sedan for my wife as her lease is up on the old E350. We are getting black ext with the tan interior. Premium 2 with sport gives two tone interior. Black dash, floors, and doors with tan inserts and of course, tan seats. Looks sharp. Should pick it up this Wednesday or Thursday.

Tough call. We came down to White or Iridium Silver. We stared at both cars for a long time. White is very striking and silver is the classic color. We decided that the white looks great with that bleck Pano Roof, but the contrast would not wear well on the eye over time. White also must be kept clean and needs to be washed often. We also loved the Silver and that is what we bought. Silver w/Black Interior Coupe. Awaiting delivery!

Thanks for all the feedback.
I'm already driving the dealer nuts.
He put a palladium and a steel grey right next to each other. Totally liked the steel grey but I'm tending to like the palladium silver even better. Over at the AMG forums a lot of guys seem to go with palladium.
Never thought to pick a color can be so complicated. On my last car I just went with iridium silver without much thinking. I begin to understand why so many people just go black or white. You like it or you don't like it, not much to think about.

my wife wild, but she loves every minute of it.
Colors?
Anything but plain black or white. The metallics are beautiful, and are worth the extra expense.
I wish there were more color choices for the interior.
