Canadian pricing out... Applause to MB Canada
E Class sedan. All in C$
2010 E350 4Matic $62.9K
2010 E550 4Matic $73.2K
For comaprison,
2009 E300 4Matic $65.8K
2009 E350 4Matic $74.5K
2009 E550 4Matic $85.3K
Granted, 2009 comes fully loaded for last year model but base price was same for 2008 and before so we look at $12K lower in base price.
Plus 2010 comes standard with pano roof, active Bi-X that were extra in W211 (at least for early year models).

Agreed QQQ.
The 2009 pricing (and previous years) now looks way overpriced. The E550 4Matic at $85K always looked much too expensive considering the stunning vehicles that $85K can buy.
The 2010 E550 4Matic is now less than the 2009 E350 4Matic. That is definitely a move in the right direction for MB Canada.

Maybe they will have a E300 4Matic in 2011 or 2012 with a $58K base price... although I bet you can't get Multicontour seats, Distronic or Night Assist Plus, and Pano roof / Bi-Xenon / Parktronic are options.

This will require BMW to move the 535xi and 550i way down market, I think... even though the E350 isn't really competition for the 535 peformance-wise, these have classically been competing models.

I priced up the two models to my taste and same up with:
1) $68,025.00 for the 350
and
2) $79,200.00 for the 550
My lease is up in January and I am really smitten by the E-Class. Love the coupe but I need AWD.
Never bought a Benz before and my last time out (3.5yrs ago), the big brands did not bend much at all. That was how I ended up with an Infiniti M35X, which has been great.
Just looking for input from the experienced.
