Think AMG should have escalated the horsepower wars with the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG? If so, check out the E-CK63 RS – the latest offering from German tuning firm Carlsson.

The 2010 E63 AMG puts out 525 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque stock, but with minor modifications, Carlsson upped the output to 585 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque. To do this, Carlsson only needed to remap the ECU and add a new exhaust system.

Even though power only increases by 60 hp, the 0 to 60 mph time of the E-CK63 RS is 0.3 seconds lower than before. The stock E63 AMG runs a 4.8 second 0 to 60 mph, while the E-CK63RS does the same in 4.5 seconds.

In addition to modifying the engine for more power, Carlsson adds an aero kit to help the car stand out in a crowd. The kit, as the name suggests, also helps the aerodynamics of the car, and includes unique lower side skirts, a wider and more aggressive front fascia with LED lights, and a carbon fiber rear-diffuser.

If you also think the E63’s cabin could use an extra touch of luxury, you’re in luck. Carlsson adds a leather/suede finish to the seats, steering wheels, and door panels. We’re not sure we’d opt for the illuminated floor mats, said to help give the car extra ambiance.

No prices have been given for the Carlsson E-CK63 RS, but expect a significant premium over the stock E63 AMG, which has yet to be officially priced.



* These 0 - 60 times posted seem way high, stock E63 should do 0-60 in 4.3 or 4.4 so I think this upgrade should put 0-60 time @ 4.0 or 4.1, I wish they would just put the S.C. on this beast

Wow, impressive, love the front bumper. With the mod, it should run 4.0 second flat. The numbers are high.

Minor nit but I'd read the specs were 518 hp/465 lbs-ft.

Where'd you see the numbers you cited?

Half the web sites say 525 hp & the other half say 518 hp. but I do think it's 518 for the record. I don't think you will be able to tell the difference thou can not wait for my new E63...
