Ordered E-350
I ordered my E-350 today.
Iridium Silver
Black Leather
Black Ash wood trim
4-Matic
Sport Styling
Premium 2 Package
Drive Dynamic Seats
I was going to contemplate ordering the AMG wheel package until I read the following disclaimer:
Lower aspect ratio tires and accompanying wheels provide substantiality increased tread wear, increased tier noise and reduced comfort. Serious wheel and tire damage may occur if the vehicle is operated on rough or damaged road surfaces upon encountering road debris or obstacles. These tires are not designed for use on snow or ice. Winter tires mounted on appropriately sized and approved wheels are recommended for driving in those conditions.
With that said I do like the 5 spoke standard wheels, however I wanted the 3 Spoke Sport steering wheel so it appears I have to order the wheel separately and have it installed as a dealer option.

Did you get a lease or purchase? BTW I like the 5 spoke much better. Too bad they were not offering the same 5 spoke AMG from the W211 but I would rather have the stock sport 5 spoke than the 6 spoke AMG especially after reading the info you posted above.
PS.. are there comparison specs available ont he tires that come with the 6 spoke AMG and the 5 spoke stock? Curious to see the sizes.

I purchased. Have always owned my cars.
Not sure about the exact specs of the tires except both are 18" and AMG tires are "Z" rated and stock 5 spoke tires "H" rated.

Skipper - congrats on the car. One thing to keep in mind is that the tires are exactly the same on the standard 5 spoke 18" as they are on the optional 6 double-spoke AMG 18" wheel. Both are all-season high performance tires and the same disclaimer will apply to both as they are both considered low profile tires.

silberoosa - When you order the 4-matic with Sport Styling the following message pops up:
Ordering 4MATIC Package replaces the 18" 5-spoke wheels in Sport Styling with 4MATIC 18" 5-spoke wheels.
The disclaimer does not apply to these wheels and I belive the tires are "H" rated.

The only things which changes is the tires/wheels go from staggered (2WD) to non-staggered (4WD). The tires and speed ratings are H for both. This happens on both the standard 18" 5 spoke and the AMG 18". Hope I am not being a pest but just want you to have the correct info for your order. Personally, I like the wheels equally but the 3 spoke steering wheel for me would be the clincher.

siberossa - appreciate your input. Personally I like the 5-spoke wheels over the AMG wheels but I have to live without the 3-spoke sport steering wheel. I tried ordering the 3-spoke wheel separately from MB but that was a no go! It would be to costly to have the 3-spoke wheel installed as a dealer option.
Anyhow I am happy with my decision and can't wait for the car to be delivered.

I was at the dealer this past week and the sales rep said that with the 6 spoke AMG rims, you are going to need winter tires, apparently they are not all season or just not good in the winter. I personlly think the 6 spoke are gross compared to the 211's 5 spoke AMG so I will go with the 5 spoke with 18's myself.

completely agree the AMG wheels that are offered on the E are unattractive. Having seen th e5 spoke and the AMG wheels in person, I would go with the 5 spoke.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like the AMG wheels. I think the 5-spoke wheels make the car look more masculine.

So the 5-Spokes are not AMG wheels huh? That's too bad. The 6-Spokes look pretty generic and dissapointing, although it is nice to have "AMG" carved into them, so it's kind of a lose lose situation. The 211's always had beautiful AMG wheels. If I were one of you guys getting out of a Leased 211 and into a 212, I'd tell them part of the deal is you need to swap the wheels into the new car.

i think I would go with the AMG wheel even though I do not like it if there was a "AMG sport" package.
You can get the same appearance LED look with the 5 spokes, and I think the car looks great like that.

The 5-spoke wheels are vaguely reminiscent of the old Cragar wheels that a lot of the muscle cars of the 70s had. Clean, strong design. I think the lines of the 5-spokes match the chiseled lines of the E350 sedan better as well.

Yeah, 5-Spokes are the best looking OEM-available rims to get on that car right now hands down. Would be nice if AMG made the 5-Spokes though.
