Just caught this on an auction site... the star looks un-proportionally HUGE doesn't it?
Happy to see the aftermarket catering to the w212, but I'm not really feeling this yet.

Ack, not feeling it. At first glance I though it was an E-Coupe with an unusually big mouth. Looks tacky IMO, and looks like it has a big middle tooth sticking out.
The car looks proper with the Luxury grille and ornament, I'd never mess with it, but people have been throwing hideous Star Grilles on M-B Sedans for seemingly centuries, never to have succeeded in a proper look.
M-B crafts the front ends of Luxo Grille cars, and Sport Grille cars in a certain proportion and way, which is why Star Grilles IMO never work on Luxo grille cars, and cars like the W204 C-Class, which was obviously designed with a Sport Grille in mind, looks absolutely awkward and hideous with the Luxo Grille.

Hmm. Not quite feeling this version. I'm somewhat ambivalent about the hood ornament myself. I do like the grills on the C-class sport and the E-class coupe. I think I'd like a version of the above grill with at least one more (maybe two more) rows of the main horizontal grillwork and a slightly smaller emblem.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I would have been into it a couple of years ago, but I lean towards the straight grill (sans star) on sedans...just too busy.
