I took it for a quick spin but it wouldn't list any of the POIs
I have a few gas stations within a mile so not sure why it wasn't listing them. I know when I drove it from Georgia, it pulled up the POIs

Ill try again tomorrow on the way to work. I don't need to actually set a destination, do I?To set a stop over you need to have a destination running. But it is the same for setting the destination. If you are driving and pick a destination from the POI list you should be able to use the MAP-tab at the bottom left corner on the screen. This will show you where the POI is on the map before you actually select it as a destination or stop over. My current 2010 model and previous 2011 model had the problem with this and I needed the updated software to get this working. This update also fixed the BT audio stream.

To set a stop over you need to have a destination running. But it is the same for setting the destination. If you are driving and pick a destination from the POI list you should be able to use the MAP-tab at the bottom left corner on the screen. This will show you where the POI is on the map before you actually select it as a destination or stop over. My current 2010 model and previous 2011 model had the problem with this and I needed the updated software to get this working. This update also fixed the BT audio stream.
Any documentation available to show the dealer this issue

I have no documentation but take your SA for a ride and show how it is. It is a malfunction of the system if the MAP tab is crayed out. If he does not believe you then have him take you to drive a 2012 model and see how the MAP tab works correctly.

I contacted my service tech advisor via email and noted the issue. She forwarded the description of the problem to one of the tech. Just got a response stating there may be an firmware or software update to resolve that issue but the tech wants to look it over SWEET!!!
I am going to turn off the Bluetooth streaming just prior to dropping it off and hope for an update upon return.

If it were me, I'd go into the engineering menu prior to return and also record the firmware versions (they are there somewhere) - just so you know for sure if in fact it was upgraded (or they did something else).

W0rtez, I have not seen that type of menu before. Mine looks more like a numbered list. Like the lists that come up in the iPod mode, not a bunch of squares like you have. Are you in the US? There might be other instructions for European or other country's models.

so, I ended up needing the update after enrolling to MBRACE so I took it in today and sure enough, they provided the update. I have the MAP option available when searching thru POIs however the phone still will not reconnect. I de-authorized the phone from the HU and removed it from my device, practically starting fresh. When I attempt to connect the old fashion way, it fails. Would connect the phone but not the BT AUDIO. I could only get it to connect to the BT AUDIO by doing the external authentication.
Those that did the software update, was there anything special you had to do thereafter.

Problem can be in iPhone software. Do you have any friend with Android phone so you can borrow it for a second and check if it has problems as well? I have old Android phone and never upgraded HU software however BT streaming works flawlessly. I do not have only song title in display, but I believe it is because I am on Android 2.3

I have a 2010. I bought it used out of warranty so I am not sure if it was ever upgraded before I bought it. I know there is an update newer than what I have now because the dealer checked but wanted $270 for the update. My android galaxy nexus can do Bluetooth audio and it syncs automatically every single time I enter the car. Song names are not displayed. In my Iphone 5, I have to do an external auth for it every time I enter the car. Song names also not displayed.
But I do not have the Latest software. I am not sure where to check to see what software I have either.

I have 2011 E550 and it does not have Bluetooth audio. And; the darn connector is in the dashboard. So I bought this:

First of all, I think you have Bluetooth audio, it just is not enabled in the engineering menu. When you enable it you will get the selection option for it under the audio tab where all the other devices are but you may need a software update to make it work correctly.
The second thing is that if your interface cable connection point is in the dash instead of inside the glove box I think your car is actually a 2012 model for this part and that means that you could already have the updated software, i.e. just enabling the Bluetooth audio in the engineering menu could be all you need to do.
If you go to the very first page of this thread the 8th message from the beginning gives you instructions how to set BT audio to ON in the engineering menu. You just change it from OFF to ON and then RESET the system and you will have BT audio listed under the audio-tab.

You do not need navigation (ie. P1) to add Bluetooth audio to 2010 W212. I have 2010 W212 without P1 and I got Bluetooth after dealer did a software update to the audio unit. It was ready to use when I got the car back and did not need to go into engineering mode to activate.

The bluetooth worked as well as it did for everyone else here with the old software/firmware. I am not going to rebuild the connection every time I get into the car. It would be easier to connect the cable.
I believe I may need the updated software for it to work well. It is too bad this is not it's own thread in this forum. Not sure I will bother with my adapter in the car anyway.

Hej there,- does anyone have the wise tricks on how to unlock DVD in motion and the Bluetooth on a E350 CDI from 2009 (think its a 2010 model).
Have tried the "hangup + 1 + #" , but it dosn't allow you to change anything.

Will jump all over this if I cant get mines working correctly. I had the software update, or atleast I was led to believe so and it still doesn't reconnect. going to try another phone at some point but so far, the iphones I have tried, wont reconnect.

I was able to get the Bluetooth showing on the menu, but not able to make it connect. Even when I do, I am not sure ti does anything mroe than stream audio. The adapter I am using gives you full access to playlist control, song details etc through the car.

Im about to get a new phone so If I have the same issues, I will more than likely purchase this device.. Oh wait, im getting a note. Wonder if this is still compatible?
Update: The note isn't compatible with this device so I hope it auto connects. if not, I will just store my audio files on my iphone and keep it connected in the glove box. Hmmm, now that I think of it, does it provide power? Guess I will check in the morning.
