Hockey Stick DRLs

I currently have a 2010 BMW 550. My lease is up in late summer of 2011. I'm already thinking about my next car. I'm looking at either the new Five, new Audi A6 (if out by then), or an E550.

I'm leaning toward the Benz. However, I hate the hockey stick DRLs and I want P2. To me they look like they were just bolted on and look un-Mercedes like. I'm wondering if they might be changed for MY2011 or 2012. I thought I may have read that somewhere. Anyone know?

M-B improved the P2 (LED) DRL's for the '11 models for only the Luxury Models, they feature the straight bar, much more elegant and "fitting" look, such as the S-Class (and F.L C-Class with the Option).

Unfortunately the AMG bumpers on the Sport Models with P2 still have the tacked-on look of the Hockey Sticks (unless you go E63 of course).

I'd guess possibly for the '11 Model M-B might switch to the updated LED's on the Sport Models, although I wouldn't bet on it, until the actual Face-Lift probably.

It makes sense to me that MB would give the luxory model the straight LED's since it gives an elegant look and the hockey stick look on the sport since it looks more masculine IMO. I personally paid extra for P2 package because of the hockey stick look. Maybe I'm one of the few who really likes the design . To each his own.

I like the look of the hockey stick drl's too. I also like that it is unique in the sense that most other 212's I see, have P1.

Fan of the hockey sticks. The lines work great with the front end of the car. That being said, the E63 straight lights look great too.

Hmm... I guess there are some fans of the hockey stick look. It's not like that would stop me from getting the car anyway. I've only seen pictures of a P2 car. Maybe I'll like them better in person.

I hate the look too, just seems it was an after thought like, oh we forgot the LED's! That's why I went for the Brabus look on my wagon same as the D6 here..........

07 CLK 350 gone...... 10 E350
I like the Hockey DRL on my current W212, but do feel little bit well fit to MB standard. It does just a littttle biiiiit a tiny biiit just slap on LED DRL to please people looking for LED on their MB.

S class or GL's LED looks more fitted even though it's not AMG.....

Don't get me wrong... I still very much love my W212 right now... I could not even change LED license light today due to not sure if I will brake something in process....

If it was my Supra from back in high school, I would of just take off the whole trunk for just fun of it and put it back on with out a hint of hesitation.... but not my w212....

I like the P2 LED, out of all cars on the market it looks the least overkill IMO. An example of overkill LED's almost anything in the entire Audi lineup, especially the pioneer A4, the worst being the Q5. I don't see what the problem is the design on the W212 fits the air dam design perfectly. My only complaint is the car switches over to regular headlamps way to early.
