Actually I think Tanzanite Blue is Capri Blue in the US.
Curious to know just what they changed on the rearview mirror too.

Of interest to Canadians, the power folding side mirrors are still standard equipment even though they were not listed as such. For reasons unknown, this is not available to our American cousins. And again, maybe it's because the Germans simply just like us better.

The Sept model will have a different back up camera and the temperature will be in the COMAND screen. There will not be 3D according to my dealer. If you are shopping for a new E and if you keep your cars a long time buy the 2010 you will make a better deal.
Also to note, the headlight switch was changed mid 2010 cycle, as mine has it. I wish you could turn them off at will though, don't understand the "Nanny Feature".
Also, I heard that with the 2011's, you can't move the car if it's in D or R and the door is open? That would be another terrible Nanny move.

The reason there are few improvements is because you don't fix what ain't broke. If you own a P2 with pano and a few other options it's as good as it gets for the money. If the reliability holds up on this car MB will finally have their act together.

Sucks about not being able to move with the door open. Too many nannies on this car as it is, it's annoying.

Is this a cost savings measure? Jeez I hope not, what would be in store for the future of these guys then, manual seat levers on the S-Class? Lol.

Probably they went with the horn because the age group of E buyers is quite old and they could not hear the little beep.
You are starting again with cost saving BS over the car you wished you had waited for. We heard that for months with your W211. Take my word for it. This 2011 is better than the intro model because they have rectified all the known problems. Most flaws are unknown to most owners and are corrected very quietly on the next model and the next, etc. It's just the way the cycle works.

This was a cost-saving measure across the entire line-up and customer feedback is imperative in order to get the siren reinstated.

I mean, c'mon, a "Honk"? My Malibu honks when you press it twice, believe me I notice the little "Chirp" when I hop into the Benz.
Like I said, if they keep cutting these little things out, it'll be a different brand in the future.
