All previous Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with xenon headlamps can also be fitted with this additional safety feature, as the new xenon burners will be available from branches and dealers as Mercedes-Benz original parts

That is what I am hoping to hear. Sometimes US gets the parts prior to production run. I called and the service department at Sears Imports did not even know they werenupgrading.

If it is just the bulb......the cost should not be too much. My car is on the boat and my salesman said they would swap them out for whatever the increased cost the p2 package will be with the upgrade.

You in good shape, I'm sure they will do whatever has to be done because you can always cancel the order and wait for another car with the feature.

I suppose the question is will the same ballasts work. EIther way I cant imagine it will be that much....although I would expect at least $130 per bulb and then an hour's labor knowing MB.

If it's $200 or under, I'll consider it. Knowing M-B, no way it'll be under $350, regardless of its simplicity.

SO the question is how much will they increase the P2 option??? I tild my dealer to hold off on my order until december when they would install the new lights and he staid they would just install them at the dealer. If there is no increase in P2, then I will fight hard not to be charged anything.

Hmm, interesting question. I wonder if they'll sneak another several hundred bucks on for the P2 pack now with the new lights.

Yes, that is what I was trying to say to my dealer. I bet they do not. So why would I not have to pay for an upgrade I would have gotten for free if I wated one month.......which I said I wanted to do.

I think they wanted to get the car delivered before the end of the year for their numbers.
