Those w/ Adaptive High Beams. Do you leave the highs on "Auto" at all times?
Just today, for the first time ever, I understood exactly how the Adaptive High Beams work. You click it backwards, and it goes in "Auto" (click it forward, and manually hold it, and the highs go automatically on, no adaptive).
So I realized, that they work so well, it's kind of pointless to ever have to use the highs on manual. Do you guys just constantly leave it on the Auto setting, and let the car flip to highs whenever it deems it necessary?
I've been driving my Benz on my long distance "work trips" recently, and I used to always drive my Malibu. The Benz has done the unthinkable, it's lifted me from my humble and grounded nature, making it seem "ew" to drive in a Chevy that doesn't have all the lazy luxuries, and extremely cozy ambiance.
I gotta retrain myself back. I don't want to be one of those guys! Lol.
it's like 'what?! no heated seat?.....nah.....lets take my car'
lol.........and every other example you can think of, hehe......

We have my E350 in the garage next to the wife's Lexus RX450h and for around town we take the RX but on long trips ... it's always the Benz.

K-A, I also have a Nissan for my work drive but I find myself driving the Benz all the time now.

There is another function with the lights too. It adjusts low beams to the distance of the car in front of you or to oncoming traffic. I'm not sure if it does this if the high beam is not on automatic. I have them on automatic at all times too. I really don't see a need for not having it on auto.

Looks like mine will be staying on "Auto" as well. Another thing that my car will be doing for me, lol.

I don't think this is true. I live in a sub where speed limit is 30 MPH. Area has street lights and every time I enter on the road to the sub my high beams go off as the system sees those street lights.
