You need to contact SprintBooster directly. In previous posts in this thread they give you their contact information. Go to their website www.Sprintboosterusa.com and send them an email. Read previous posts they also describe their warranty.

Ya definitely doesn't sound safe. Either you installed it incorrectly or it is a faulty product.

The color should only change when you press the button. Not by itself regardless of if you turn your car off and pull the key from the ignition. If I left my Sprint Booster in red, it will always remain in red unless I press the button. Even when you pull the key from the ignition and start up the car the next day, it should be as you left it.

I suggest uninstalling it and getting additional help from Sprint Booster.

If you purchased it from us, please give us an email - sales@throttleboost.com. A replacement switch will take care of things.

Rich -

Sorry, I missed the earlier post somehow... As of Friday, we had not received them yet. I'll be in touch when we have some confirmation. I apologize for the delays.

SprintBooster on a leased car?

Has anyone put one of these on a leased car? If so, do you have to remove it before taking it in for service?

Ksreed. If the Sprint Booster is in the off setting. The car will act as it did before you installed the Sprint Booster. In stage 1 or 2 there will be a noticeable throttle improvement but it is not detectable by diagnostic equipment. The only way to identify if a car has a Sprint Booster installed is to visually inspect the pedal harness. Or follow the Sprint Booster Selector down to the pedal. Also keep in mind that the Sprint Booster selector can be removed at any time. The Sprint Booster will operate in the mode it was last sent in. This is the case even if you disconnect the car battery.

Installed this yesterday and after one driving session, I love this device and the improved performance. I had something for my chrysler 300c so I knew what to expect. The delayed response is eliminated and you get the illusion of more HP. I drove it in cruise mode with the car in sport mode and it was a pleasure, the way the car should drive. I'm watching gas consumption for any changes..will update after depleting the tank

I bought mines used from ThreeMBs for $200. they sell for new for $300
the part number is SBME0012S and you can find on ebay or from the vendor directly (google). Didn't find any for sale in the classified forum. Its very easy to install, took me about 15 minutes. Two screws to remove by the pedal. disconnect the pedal harness, connect the speed booster and reconnect the pedal harness to the speed booster. run your wire to your preferred location to swich modes. very simple.

What I also like but haven't tested, as per the instructions, you can set a mode and then remove it and the car will run at that mode. Nice... So no need to remove/reinstall when going to the dealer.

True. Place it in off mode and spend about 10 seconds reaching down to disconnect the control wire. Had B service a few weeks ago and no issues. Then reconnected it again.

what I meant was you can set the speed booster to cruise or sport mode and disconnect it and the car would stay at that mode. So if you took it to the dealer, there would be no signs of the device. No need to set it to off, disconnect and then reconnect and set back to cruise or sport.

Drove it today with it on sport and car at cruise and WOW

I've never had a problem taking mine to the dealer with the Sprint Booster installed. I've had it on 2 different E-Class and they've never said anything.

I know this has probably been asked but I'm to lazy and tired to look throught the thread tonight. With that being said, what is the long term affect that this will have on your car? Can't think that asking your engine to work harder can be good after time(if it does in fact make your engine work quite a bit harder)

The Sprint Booster doesn't make your engine work harder. It also doesn't give it any more power. It just adjusts the interface between your foot and the engine. When you start pressing on the pedal the car will actually start moving forward rather than waiting to make sure you really mean it.

You are going to love it. I drive mines with the SB set to sport and car set to cruise.
Can drop it to 5th or set car to sport for more responsiveness. Well worth the money
