Designo Available Now in U.S.
All exterior paint options in the below configurator are available -- price is $2300.
All interior colors *except* Granite and Porcelain are available. All interior trims are available.
Y80 -- extended designo leather -- is not available.
http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/cont...s/designo.html
Interior leather color, trim, along with matching wood/leather wheel and black alcantara headliner are all part of a package -- price is $3800 on the 550 and $4500 on the 350. Cheaper on the 550 since leather comes standard, so they're rebating you some of that cost in some sense.
You're free to choose designo exterior along with regular leather/trim, or regular exterior along with designo interior package, or both exterior and interior designo. You're also able to combine any designo exterior with any designo interior -- there are "recommended" editions, but you aren't constrained to these combo options.

And again, you can independently choose a designo paint for another $2300, or a standard paint for the standard fee.
Good luck!

P.S. I sent the PDF to a sales manager and he told me that there is NO charge for the codes X35 and W10, but I would be charged an additional $2300 for the 039 Mauritius Blue. I've gotta be missing a special package code.

When he logged into the dealer website see why the prices for 293, designo Light Brown interior package wasn't showing up, as the last update to the website was from last July. Apparently, the designo option codes *are* in the system, but no pricing is available. We were only able to see this when he put in a mock-up order for a vehicle. The best part was that for the designo interior packages, no matter which one you chose, you got the designo wood/leather steering wheel (Y95, IIRC) and the black Alcantara headliner (Y83, IIRC ) as well.
The pricing for the designo paints (039 Mauritius Blue, in my case) showed up, however. All of the prices were $2300, except for the Matte paints, which were $3900.
After all of this, I finally got the chance to drive a W212 for the first time. Fit and finish was spot on, but I feel the car *needs* the designo package. The Alcantara and Nappa leather will complete the look.
As far as I know, pricing isn't in the system for the interiors, however dealers should have a PDF from MBUSA that lists them. I believe they are $3800 for the interior package on the 550 (including wood wheel, headliner, seats, floor mats), and $4500 for the same on the 350.
Note that the exteriors have been available for a while now, which is why their pricing is in the system.

I paid list price CAN $3500 for that colour - and the Canadian dollar is MORE valuable that the US Dollar.... but it is a beautiful colour and no regrets. My car which is a wagon is pretty unique (at least for the time-being). I have the prettiest Mercedes wagon on the street!

Great color choice for your MB. I was seriously considering what I think was the only Mystic Red E63 in the U.S last summer before deciding on a different color due primarily to options and interior color. I did love that color. Can you post so pictures? I would love to see it on the wagon!
I hope that color is not being discontinued. Is that true???
Thanks
Interestingly, the E in 2012 will have 3 White variations available (Diamond White, Arctic White, and Magno), up from 1.

Can you tell me where you're getting your info re: the 2012 models? I'm on the warpath for details on the 2012s.
Thanks,
Voy
Voy2k: Unfortunately I have no Link to one direct article, but I believe Diamond White is now available (or will be), along with Arctic White, and Cashmere of course (Designo).
Other things that I've gathered through various resources, is the new engines, and what bothers me the most: The new I/C display graphics (a'la CLS and facelift C-Class), which MAY make it to the E-Class for 2012, it's a much nicer, more elegant and hi-definition look than our current simplistic blue screen.

Thanks so much for posting those pictures. Your car looks great! This may be the only time I get to see a W212 Mystic Red wagon . . . that is a very rare and cool combination.
It is also neat to see it with the five blade 18 inch wheels as the U.S. sport model wagons did not come with those wheels like the sedan. I like those wheels a lot together with the color of your wagon.
Kind regards
