I didn't mention it but I had an ECU tune by OE Tuning of LA (done by Jeremy) when they were in the Bay Area a month or so ago, got about 20 more on the torque side and about 15 rwhp, I don't have the graph. It has a nice pull now through all the gears and a bunch more power on the low end, will provide an update on when I add the sprint booster after they begin shipping in a few weeks. BTW if any of the LA 550 guys are looking for a tune, stop by OE Tuning, Jeremy says he wants to tweak it a little in his shop.

Making the move in June and will definitely check them out. Thanks for the tip. What did it cost you to have the tune done?
re: throttle booster, I must have missed the fix for 550 owners. When did this happen? I wrote that option off during the group buy when they found the incompatibility issue. . Looks like I need to start reading them again.

Re, throttle booster, not sure but today may be last day of the E550 group buy, not sure but if interested check in the group buy section (they put a special code for the E550 due to the compatibility problems).

Hype, I haven't seen a downside as yet, seem the mileage improved a little. I've had one on my Porsche for a few years and no issues. Plus on 550 they don't really do a really aggressive tune like the 55, 63 or 65's. But I think it's an easy RWHP gain, wish I could find another 40 hp but I think I would have to get a too radical with the mod's.

Turbos generally yield far more power from ECU mods than NA engines. I had a Passat Diesel Turbo that was rated at 134 hp and 247 ft/lbs torque. I had a mild tune done to it and it went to 170 hp and 360 ft/lbs torque. The interesting thing is that my fuel economy actually increased about 3 mpg. really transformed that car. I never had a single problem related to power train with that car for over 100K miles. My only regret was that I waited until the the car was out of regular warranty (50K mi.) The next 100K miles were trouble free until I traded it.

I posted that the mileage improvement is in the few tenths to a 1/2 per gallon, but I seem to be pushing it a little more now. BTW since your in LA contact Jeremy at OE Tuning, everyone says he is the best if your interested, plus he can do it at his shop.
