Hi All -

I just saw my 2010 E350 leave on a tow truck for the MB shop ...

I too received the new telematics software update as mentioned in this thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...er-screen.html), but then two days later my MB developed a computer issue similar to the one experienced by hanjaya1 in this thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...t-audio-2.html).

Upon starting, the car rev's really high, the accelerator pedal no longer is recognized, and I received three error messages about the ESC, Pre-Safe/Distronics, and Blind Spot assist all being inoperative.

And after looking at hanjaya1's invoice (2nd link above), I see the same issues as I'm experiencing.

Thinking that this might be a defective Sprint Booster (after being notified about a potential faulty cable from JRP on the phone), I removed that unit to no avail.

So, I wanted to alert the members that although this could all be coincidental, to look out for these issues after the SW update and to let all of us know what's happening.

All let you know what the dealer says on Monday ...

The last time I had MB fix something that wasn't broke it cost my over $60k, they recommended rebuilding the airmatic's on my 2002 S to avoid problems. 3 months later, airmatic's gone they wanted $3k to fix it, bought a new car!

Final report from the dealer places the blame on a broken potentiometer in the gas pedal assembly. Parts replaced and I'm back on the road ... wore out the accelerator. I guess I do drive too fast ...
