Keyless Go is being fussy sometimes, anybody experience this?
Also, every now and then, when I go to unlock the car, it will say "Key Not Detected" on the I/C, and I'll have to unlock it manually, then everything works properly for a while. I'm also positive that this isn't battery related.
Tonight again it did the whole "not turning off the lights thing" when I turned the car off. I had to sit there and hit the button 3 times to get it to turn off. I keep trying to figure out if there's some different little thing I do that activates the light-delay, since it usually turns them off immediately (lately it's doing the delay thing more, oddly).

This function is active when the lights are set to Automatic.

As you said the solution is to go all manual on this when it happens. But I am hoping that either somebody from the mailing list figures out a solution or I will get bothered enough such that I can go back-n-forth to the dealer on this one.
Quite puzzled by all this...

I occasionally have the 'key not recognized' thing happen so will mention it at my first service...
By chance, does your experience occur after your car has been parked for any length of time?
Back in the day, someone posted a Thread where their I/C screen would come on all by itself, randomly when the car was locked and sitting. I think there was a Bulletin on that, but I'm assuming it may have only affected very early models.
So needless to say, there is no real "pattern" to what happens. MB is aware of the issue as it is present on both the late '10 to all of "11 E and S class cars with keyless-go. Because of the issues we have, MB is buying back the car as it is practically useless and about as reliable as an old Jaguar.
I have an update for the group with respect to this issue as well. I went to the dealer and he identified (through the fault codes) and replaced the ignition module. So far (for 2 days) things seem okay but it is too early to tell I think.
I'll update again if i encounter any additional bad behavior.
