Chrome back in the day was the trend...don't get me wrong...I fell into that trend. I personally just got tired of chrome upkeep and damage. Getting it repaired is a PITA and driving around with a spare for weeks is not my idea of profiling. I had Carlsson chrome rims and they started pitting...took 2 months to get it re-plated and I had to pay for shipping.

I could have went with chrome on the white Suburban in my sig but the way to go is polished...damage is easily repaired and I won't have to obsess as much about chrome pitting, curb rash, and debris knicks.

Full Chrome looks good on Dodge, Toyotas, Nissans.
But they look so out of place one a real car like a Mercedes.
They even look out of place of sport cars, Camaro, Mustang etc.

a car
I like it; however, that wheel is a very 90s design. Makes the car look older then it really is.

It's a JDM wheel...one you'd normally see on Lexus and Infiniti. Looks best on older model Lexus and Infiniti. Still, it's a nice wheel of high quality and it works well on the E....imo. Chrome on white always looks good.

Not my style of setup, and I agree with everyone about the chrome and wheel style, as it does have a dated look IMO (a problem with getting popular wheel design trends, as they always age much quicker than the car sitting on top of them), but all in all, the car looks good, the factory setup and color/options are great, and the rims don't look as terrible as they should. The car almost has an American muscle-car look to it, which can be a very good or bad thing, depending on who you ask, lol.

Enjoy it! I'm sure it turns heads on the streets.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
c2xbenzo, your car looks great. Love wheels too (silver wheels would be better, but chrome does work well on white). IMO these wheels (even if some say they're "dated") look better than any current stock MB wheels (especially AMGs on W212). Always liked (and still do) dish type of wheels on MB sedans - OZ Opera, Wald Duchatelet and original AMG monoblocks.

I like it seems like everyone puts the same wheels on cars. Very unique. I like the look.

I just want to know what's in the other five bays of that six-car garage.

That's a great point.
I'm so tired of copycat modders I could puke.
These wheels do what they were intended, enhance the car.
Mainly, I buy wheels to make my car look different than anyone else. Sometimes people copy your look. Can' help it.
Me, I'm happy I have wheels no one else has. So does this Benz.

I like the wheels...I'd paint em gloss black (and paint the grill/trim black). That would look sick with the dark tint and black pano....but I'm a little obsessive with black!

dude, your rear tire is way too thin for the width of the rim...

IMO the 212's design is not well complemented by rims with a lip - much better suited for a flush rim..

Disagree 100%. Its Concave/deep Lip or go home.
