Sound is good. Not too too ricey like Honda's and not too wimpy. It hits the sweet spot right on especially in city driving the sound is really pleasing. On the highway, once you start cruising there is not much audible difference between the stock and this exhaust. Thanks Hyper!

Hmmm, on the fence about the 4 round pipes. I bet it sounds real nice...

Think I woulda had them custom weld on the stock tips to the muffler instead. IMO the round pipes don't flow with the car.

Yep I'd find me a good stainless welder and put the factory tips back on. I think the company tried to cut costs going with a round pipe, when they should of just mimicked the stock unit or done a split rectangle.

Brad, I don't think the company tried to cut corners with the round pipes. It is just the "in" style right now, staggered and round. In person the exhaust looks very good, in fact I have had 3 people stop and ask me about it already and its only been a few hours since I got it installed.

I wouldn't call it the "in" style but more like the most common style due to the fact that exhausts have always been round and Benz and everyone else has used them for yrs. I don't think they were cutting corner per say, but there's no question that the same units with the stock shaped tips would cost significantly more to produce. Reason being it would have to be a custom fit unit, the round units are not custom fit.

Thanks. Quick story, I had a gentleman hunt me down yesterday at work to find out where I got the exhaust because he wanted to order one for his E since he loved the way it looked. I took him for a spin in my car and he didn't care much for the louder exhaust note so am not sure he will order one for himself.

Just had my resonator and secondary cats chopped on my e550...

And we noticed the exhaust tips aren't attached to the mufflers. They kinda are screwed into the body, and their just is a pipe from the muffler sorta feeding in. They are not attached to the muffler in any way.

All you'd have to do is cut off the tips or maybe reverse y-pipe them and you are good to go.

Congrats on the mod, enjoy! Personally I think the round pipes look non-tailored and at odds with the W212's design, but to each their own!

Thanks K-A. I know what you mean especially with the tips integrated into the diffuser makes it look outta place more. In person it does look integrated a little better fwiw.

BTW, please post up some sound pics if you can, I'm really curious to hear how an exhaust setup sounds on these rides.

I agree. I'd look for some different tips. These are too tiny and too round. The W211 AMG has large oval tips and are not small and round. And on a W212 body, these look out of place considering they've gone to rectangular tips. Being so small and round, emphasizes that they're aftermarket, imho. Kinda ricer.

Be careful or a pic of your car might end up on one of the AMG poser threads.
