Just wrapped my mirrors with 3M CF.

Went to the shop today to have the mirrors CF-wrapped. Material is 3M. I wanted them to do the fin on the roof as well but they couldn't do it. Took a few pics with my Torch. Next up is having my GL hood done in matte CF this Friday. Thanks for looking, guys.

I like it. If I were to do a different look for my car, I would cf the mirrors, rear spoiler, grill and get black wheels.

I got CF mirror caps as I like the glossy finish and it matches my trunk spoiler. I bought a bunch of the 3M wrap but did not like the finish so I started wrapping other things like my keys and laptop...nevertheless, a very clean nice job

That would look awesome.....although your ride looks great as is.

Too much irregularity in the surface for them to wrap. I can always remove the fin and paint it gloss black. Thanks for compliment.

Thanks bro. I thought about buying the glossy CF covers on ebay but decide to wrap instead. I wanted glossy CF but they didn't have it. I'm happy with the result.

Yeah the guy used heat gun to stretch the fabric. I just took a few more pics with better cam so I'll post them shortly.

SixPak,

Love the way that looks. I got the glossy covers on mine but like the way yours look. Was the film pre-cut by any chance?

Thanks guys for the kudos .
dips009, the film wasn't precut or computer-generated. The guy just used a piece big enough to cover the mirror and then used little pieces here and there to cover up gaps. Thanks.

now that the grill was mentioned, it is nice, but kind of reminds me of R class.....
thankfully those hockey's are down there to help ID the make......
it would still look super sweet with a 2 or 3 bar grill too....
just a thought....

stay cool

Of course I do - we belong to the same minority here. Have identical star grill on my W212 sedan too. Can't imagine the car without it anymore.

Looks good! My gloss roof wrap is unfortunately showing some stretchy-lines marks, which is apparently an issue with gloss wrap sometimes, so if it keeps bugging me and I have to change it, I was thinking of wrapping the roof with that exact CF wrap. Problem is, I don't know how I'd like that, nor how I'd like it on a Benz, and I'd have to start wrapping other stuff in CF.

Anyway, looks good and congrats. Now just get rid of that grille!

K-A, originally the the driver's side mirror was wrapped with gloss black vinyl but like your roof, it didn't turn out perfectly. There were small imperfections on the surface ie bubbles so we decided to go with matte CF instead and it turned out to be ok.

I'm can almost envision your car with matte CF roof instead of gloss black. The matte finish to contrast nicely with the polish White exterior. Go for it

Haha, regarding the grille ...

Why not get the silver fins on the grille wrapped with CF? Saw this on a GL the other day, looked good.

Hey YYZ, I'm doing exactly that to my GL grille along with the side body moldings and rear roof spoiler. Just had the entire hood CF-wrapped this morning. Thanks for the suggestion...

Nice - the hood is too much for me, but looking forward to seeing pics of the other items in the GL forum!
