try the service manager at your dealer if the salesman is being a toad....if not the salesman can look in the database

I found "cars dot com" to be a pretty good resource.Search there first and then anything you see there can be researched more specifically by going to the website of the dealer that is listed on "cars dot com".

E350 Coupe
I've used www.autotrader.com Found my E350 Coupe optioned as I wanted it. Made sure that it was the closest to my location...went to the local dealer told him what I wanted and where it was...they verified the car using their inventory check system and had it shipped to their location.

I use Cars.com a lot as well but have found not all dealers post their inventory.

As for a white E350 sedan with red/black interior, I've often thought that would be a great combo, but unless the dealer stocked a Designo Edition, you likely won't find it as red/black isn't a standard offering. It is available for the coupes and cabriolets and looks great.

Where in CA? Maybe they can do a dealer transfer or ordering can then be another option.

Negotiate a great price for it and fly there, pick it up, and drive it home.
I dont think the dealer will do a tranfer over that distance.

No problem. I am located in California -- last month when I searched & found my 2012 E350 Coupe, the car was located inside the showroom of an Utah Mercedes dealer.

I called my local California Mercedes dealer mentioning about this car, the salesperson and I agreed on the purchase price (he offered me a pretty good deal, indeed), he worked between the two dealers to transporting the car from the Utah dealer to his dealer, and I picked up my new E350 at his dealer just as.

This kind of inter-dealer transfer happens all the time. Call around a few of your locals dealers, and find the one that is willing to work the deal for you.

With best regards,
