Cant find an E350 4matic with a P2 Lighting Package?
I'm in NYC and I'm looking to trade in my 2010 GLK 350 for a 2012 E 350 4matic. I'm Running into some brick walls because I can't seem to find one with the lighting package anywhere. I also want it with the AMG wheel package, which hasn't been a problem finding. But this P2 package is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I mean is it uncommon for people to get HID headlights these days?

How bout I was actually looking into the new ML, and the lighting package is on back order with no ETA in sight! I just don't see getting a new Benz without a lighting package. Just my 2 cents...
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

All the competitive dealers (BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti, etc.) have cars on the lots with leather, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, etc. - options that everyone in the northeast wants. If you went into a (BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti) dealer and asked for a car with plastic seats and halagon lights they would laugh at you. - but you could probably special order it.

I must say I'm a little disappointed, I know Benz is trying to keep costs down and be more competitive! But I will not even entertain the idea of getting anything that is $60k or better and doesn't include real leather, lighting, etc! The whole debate of MB Tex vs leather is a moot one for me as well...I happen to like the scent of new leather in a car.

I agree about P2, don't settle for P1! I didn't have a problem finding well equipped P2 cars off the Dealer lots at all, both times I purchased a W212. The Option is very reasonably priced and you get a great bang for your buck. It's unfortunate that most Dealers don't order them in some locations it seems, but blame the consumer for not caring about even the most obvious details.
As of now I have 2 dealerships on Long Island searching for me, and I'm going to visit Ray Catena tomorrow morning and hook up with the gentleman that got me my GLK. Hopefully I strick Gold!
I refuse to settle on a car without 4matic and the P2 and AMG package.
I also have color choices in order.
1- White with Black
2-Palladium Silver with Black
3-Silver with Black
If no dice with my search, I will most likely just wait out the winter with my GLK and see what's around in Spring 2012.
IMO some 6K's can get too blue-cheesy, I love the crisp white with blue hue of the 5K's. I believe they're supposed to be the closest to actual daylight (what's important to your eyes when it comes to illumination and strain) if I'm not mistaken.
You've probably already gone this route, but just in case...
Using cars.com, put in a search criteria of MB and then further define the search to cars in the $60 to $65K range. I start with "all miles" from home base and then just focus on those near my area. The total list is long, but you may find a few that will work. The list doesn't specify P2 in most cases, but I then read the discriptions and look for "keyless go" or "bi-xenon." I saw a beautiful diamond white in Maryland that way, but don't know if your dealer will transfer a car in from that far. I saw a few others that might qualify - one or two in up state NY.
I used this method to find my car and to confirm the dealer wasn't pulling my leg about what was/wasn't available.
I hope that helps and good luck with the search and eventual find.
