if factual information (arguably dogmatic in tone) is useless to you, yes, you are more likely to prefer fluff

I was going to install that kit. The place I bought my HIDS from didn't recommend it because of heat and something about them not really being 55 watt. They needed 24 volts to run properly. That being said I installed a 35 watt 6000k kit. It has plenty of light and should meet your needs.

can anyone provide a link to the following for me. ive done the searches but there are way too many options so i wanted opinions and especially links to tried and tested kits

- HID kit (4300 or 5K -i'm looking to match the LED DRL temp so if 6k is better let me know)
- City Light LED replacement (again, to match the HID kit and LED's)

i think 5k is better in your case if you want to match your led drl. you just need canbus/error-free hid kit and you are good to go. nothing fancy.

if you are going for 5k, i think most of the led bulbs are 5k and you'll have matching color low beams and city lights. good luck!

no more than 5000k if you can find a 4500k that's an even better match.

i've never seen 4500k. just 4300k. but isn't the newer w212 using 5000k now? so i think 5000k has more of a oem look.

I have a 12' e350 installed 5000k hids and the led drl is slightly more "yellow" 5k hids are pure white.. i like the look of the hids but there not a perfect match to the drl's.

My 2010 E with HID's had the 4300 OEM color, and they matched perfectly and seamlessly with the DRL's and LED parking lights. My 2011 E has the new 5K OEM projector color, and as awesome as it looks, it is much whiter/bluer than the DRL's and LED parking lights, indeed making them appear yellow-ish in comparison.

Wow!!! That's pricey for an HID kit, but they must be good, right?

the bulb is made from GE, I compare with the 55w kit that was shipped from Hong Kong which the GE bulb is 100x better. the ballast is better also nice and clean. the 55w ballast looks not so very well made, thats why I wend with the Mtec kit. for me, I really think it's a money well spend, and sometimes you do have to spend a little more to get a better quality product. the problem is I don't know where to get the replacement bulb if I ever needed them. google and can't find them anywhere. any one know?

Also, the MTEC kit may offer a better cut off than the other less expensive kits, although some will disagree. In the end, I think you get what you pay for.
