Wagon colors. Nat Beige lthr seat ????
HI,
dealer rarely has a new E350 Wagon but today they had a new one being prepped.
Iridium silver with black interior. Spectacular looking from outside. Trying to decide if interior was too dark in all black. It was indoors under fluor lights and it seems mighty dark sitting in it. Outside, how is the all black interior??
Stumped the dealer as the E brochure shows Natural Beige with Black interior as only available in leather. Picture shows wide horizontal "pleats/sections" but dealer says all E leather seats have the narrow vertical "pleats/sections". ????
Dealer thinks picture is a mistake (maybe Euro interior/ not USA).
Anybody with Natural Beige leather seats------ do they have bigger section/horizontal pleats OR narrower vertical pleats?? Do you have the heated/ventilated seat option as that might also dictate which style. THANKS!!

ARTICO (MB-TEX) = horizontal pleats
Real Leather = vertical pleats
Natural Beige is only available in leather, not ARTICO. Climate Comfort option (401) is only available with leather.

Are we on the same page? Seatbacks with narrow vertical pleats are leather in US.
Seatbacks with wider horizontal pleats/sections are MB-Tex. I just sat in several E class today. I wonder if Canada is different ?? Natural leather color is either the exception OR MB made a mistake in their US brochure.
Wish I could post pics from the US brochure.--pages 6 and 7 show the vertical narrow pleats on leather option. Can anyone post these pages , that knows how to do so?? thanks
On the page showing all interiors, it shows natural leather with wide horiz pleats but dealer says it is a mistake, maybe a Euro or Canadian model.
I'll let you know what he finds out.

My bad; I inverted the two. Seat design does vary by bodystyling (Elegance vs Avantgarde in Europe).
It would be the European "Elegance" interior; here's a Chestnut leather example:

My car has that natural beige leather seat that is partly mixed with a somewhat black interior. The natural beige (which looks like saddle leather) mixed with the black interior is unique. But to answer your question, I don't remember though if the pleats in the back rest is horizontal or vertical. I am at work and my car is at home so I will check this for you later. Whatever the case is, I would still suggest you get this seat color option. IT IS THE BEST color option I have ever seen in seven dealerships I have visited and over 20 E350 cars I have seen. Unfortunately, it is also the rarest in a wagon, and unless you ordered it, you won't see it regularly. Finding a wagon in a color you want is difficult enough, and finding a wagon in a color and interior you want is a huge challenge.
I will take a picture tonight and post it here.
My car is diamond white with natural beige leather. It looks awesome and everyone that has seen it thinks so as well.

The first pic is an E350 with real leather.
The second pic is my E550 with real leather (perforated because i have cooled seats).
Both are Natural Beige...they look different because the 350 is in the showroom.
I would refrain from looking at the brochures for specific things like these pleats, as most of the time, we get European pictures in them.
