Rusty Brakes???
The E350 we are looking at buying this weekend is on the lot with the factory five spoke wheels... my wife noticed that the "rotors" behind the wheel spokes are all rusty on all four tires... salesman says its because it's been on the lot for a while.... is this true?? If so, what does that mean about the brakes... should I avoid this E all together? Thanks, Scott~

If it happens all the time... is it something that does not affect brake performance... is it just something we have to get use to the look of... or does it wear off eventually?

No worry, it is normal for cast iron rotors, they oxidize when exposed to water (e.g. after car wash, sitting outdoor in humid weather over-nights, etc.)
Just drive the car, the rust will go away quickly when applying the brake and the pad will scrub away the rust.

this happens to everything!
if you wash you car, and let it sit, you'll see rust,
like everyone has said......
