Tire sizing for 20's wheels

Quick question - I wanted to know my options for tire sizing for 20" wheels. I had a blowout earlier this week and am wondering if I can/should go bigger in back. Currently have 20x8.5 in front and 20x9.5 in back with 35 offset for both. My tires are currently 245/30/20 front and 265/30/20 in back...and lowered (with HR I beleive 1.4 inches front and 1.3 in back). My local shop says probably not, but I am not sure he really knows. I've had this setup for almost a year and this is my first tire issue.

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, 235x35x20f- 275x30x20r. Little more sidewall I think, but if THREEMBS can chime in, He knows this wheel and tire size bigtime. Thats what I'm running thanks to his advice and I am very happy. Oh, sorry, my offset is the same and wheel widths.

You can def run 275/30 in the rear.. your only looking at 3mm overall difference. Not a big deal.. I Just realized you have 245/30 fronts.. If you change the rears to 275/30 you must change the front also to 235/35

SRPE350 you mentioned bigger. Did you mean wider or a thicker sidewall?

Only MBs - the best or nothing
275/30 would be wider with taller (thicker) sidewall, while 285/25 even wider, but with relatively much shorter (thinner) sidewall. Both probably will not work out due to rear offset being too aggressive (low). 265/30 is about as wide you can get on 9.5" et35 wheels on these cars without sticking out too much.

Very true! 275/30 on a 9.5 with 35et will stick out atleast 5mm passed the fender. Not a good look

Hey, new to the E class and looking at potentially getting one soon. If I put 20s on (common size seems to be 20x9 front, 20x10 rear), can I get by without lowering the car, or does it look like a donk at that point? Also, how easy (cheap) is it to lower. Thanks for the help.

Question

Can someone with 20" wheels answer the question about the look of the W212 with 20" wheels and not lowered?

thank you
