Who else loves the W212?

Man... I've owned my car for 2 weeks now and it is a great car. Comfortable and lots of little gadgets. My E550 has great torque and good power when needed. The airmatic suspension is great especially with the sport/comfortable suspension settings. The transmission is pretty good and the paddle shifters are usable.

I also like the stately look and size - definitely a great car.

I'm glad I bought this over the coupe this time around. This car will easily last me 3 years before my next one.

The hockey stick LEDs are definitely very cool and very W212. I don't have those, I have the 2 circle lights because I do not have the HID package. No biggie... still looks mean.

didn't realize that was the difference between P1 and P2 packages. I am going for a flat badge and the Start Grille soon.

Great size and lovely ride, seems a better package than the competitors.

At least for '11, the hockey stick DRL's were standard, not part of the P2 package.

I've had my 2013 for three weeks. Love it. Some ride for the luxury sedan. Enough power for me, although it could use some more horses since it is a relatively heavy car.

I have had mine for about a month and I love it. I am and always will be a BMW fan however the E350 fills a niche that BMW does not. Basically I have a 5ser sized car with 7ser luxury and options... unbeatable package.

This is the best car money can buy if you don't wanna pay too much , W221 is upscale and top model in the MB model line up but you need to let more money get out of your pocket to buy one and W212 is better designed car , very well proportioned interior compare to other cars in the market

It rides better than other cars I have driven as well

Had my W212 for two years now. Still love it like the day I drove it off the lot. Can't say that about the others I have bought.

My wife and I both dislike the high belt line. It's much more difficult to position/park the W212 vs. the W211.

When I first saw the W212 body style in Europe, I told my wife I'd never buy one. I still don't like the style but it's growing on me.

Otherwise, it's hard to fault this vehicle. The trunk is smaller than the W211 and the power trunk mechanism takes up even more space. On the other hand, I appreciate the extra rear leg room.

I use the AirMatic to raise the car when parking over high curbs. The Sport mode hunkers down on Interstates. On the other hand, AirMatic has poor shock rebound control compared to every other Mercedes we've owned dating back to 1984.

I like the outside design and the fact that it is safer than the W211. The side impact performance is much better.

But I still really dislike the interior and it has not grown on me. I realize this is subjective and some might have no problem with it but personally I don't feel the interior is classy or elegant enough to be in an E class and I'm disappointed they went more C class than S class for the design inspiration. If I were in charge of redesigning the interior I'd take away the rulers and trapezoids from the designers and ask them to use their imagination with some curves and color outside the box to come up with a more flowing and graceful interior.

What I really want to see with the E class redesign is if they have made the interior more flowing and elegant. Though I don't need the extra space, I might be forced to consider the S class (and the associated cost) for my next car because I dislike the current interior that much. I really don't want to do that as the S class is a statement of excess on wheels and I can do without the extra attention -- especially when I have to negotiate and drive hard bargains for my company. The E class just lets you drive a nice car and still cruise a bit under the radar. I really hope something gets done to make the interior better.

I haven't seen an interior that I like better than my E, but this is a very subjective thing. Kind of like art. What one loves another doesn't see.

I agree. The only thing I don't like about the interior is that at the end of 2010, Mercedes stopped offering lighter interiors. Too much black now.

Three years? We've driven a 190D for 17 years. I am currently the original owner of a 1991 300E that I've had for more than 20 years. The last time I owned a car that I thought had to be replaced in 3 years was when I owned American cars.

I do admit to buying three E-Class in the last 8 years but I could very well still be driving the 2004 E320.

Though I can't predict the future, I think that this current E class body style will go down in the long run as a classic. At least I hope so. I have no plans on replacing this car any time soon. Of course technology and new looks will come. But when you look back at some of the older 1970's styling, they still look good. Some are real classics.

Probably a CLS or something similar. Or a convertible if they make something a little more luxurious than the E convertible - if they make one.
