No Bass with my Harman Kardon
I just purchased an 2011 E550, great car. It has a Harman Kardon system, it puts out very little bass. I have read on a number of threads how to modify systems but in one thread it said only for the Audio 20 system.
How can I increase the bass in the HK system.
Thanks for the help, looking forward to enjoying the car and the awsome speed.

Ah...the thread is missleading. There is a big difference between no bass and wanting more bass. Just go to any reputable car audio shop and they will help you get what you need for more base.

I have the Harmon Kardon and it kicks out some very heavy base. I would go to the dealer and see if there is a problem with your subwoofer.
Also, check and see if the logic7 surround sound system is turned off . That makes a huge difference in the bass response.

I agree, it has great bass, depending on the sound quality of whatever is being played at the time.......radio waves have the HUGE bass output, while some of my CD's are not that bass-ish.......also depends on the recording too eh??

Did you try doing some trouble shooting? There is a small bass amp on your rear deck. If you unplug the connector and you notice even less bass, then maybe its just your preference in bass.

A jl sub and amp in the trunk takes care of the low end bass.

I recently had the opportunity to borrow Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon in DVD Audio. As some of you "not-so-younger" ones out there may recall, this album was originally mastered in Quadraphonic Sound on vinyl. It i simply stunning on the HK system. Amazing. It is on my Christmas list.
