Just a another day at the office . . . ..
Genuine Mercedes Benz Side sill panels (come in a set of six) and used to enhance body styling along side skirts and rear of vehicle. Tried purchasing from the U.S. from a couple of Merc Benz dealers but not available. As luck would have it I was able to obtain some from a MB dealer here in Australia.
Must say I've enjoyed your contributions, musing and photos on the forum.
Thanks for the reply.

This aircraft was carrying the Secretary of Defense/Defence Leon Panetta on a trip to Perth on the West coast of Australia back in December.
I tried to get closer, but, there were a lot of Secret Service types surrounding the aircraft.
Here's another photo.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

It is probably the same plane but it is called Air Force one only when the President is in it.
Like the Navy one when he rides in a navy helicopter.

What a dandy color it is
Happy driving
No choice with the colour. Last one left at the time.
AMG badge already on car when delivered . . .. . apparently a local custom to drive up sales and offer cosmetic appeal (apparently).
An E63 here in Australia is about the equivalent of USD $280,000 on the road.
We pay a huge premium in this country for luxury cars . . . . . E550 not available here locally.

The president's two 747s are VC-25s. Similar equipment, but designed to look civilian (doesn't have the second hump or as many antennae on top).
Different paint job, also.
Very cool pictures btw

It is very civilian looking plane when it has "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" written on the side of it with dog size letters.
