Jag XF to E350? Anyone else made the jump?
This was a very icy winter, and even with snow tires, she's getting tired of RWD.
The GLK is in for service, and we got an E350 4matic loaner (2012, well equipped), and she is leaning toward trading the Jag.
Anyone else made a similar move? Can anyone compare the E350 to an XF?
The E350 doesn't have the power of the XF, but really, how often are you really using all the power your engine can give? I can't remember the last time I used full throttle on the Jag (except when I intentionally did a max acceleration run).
The Jag was a CPO service loaner ($15.5k off sticker and 6.5yr/100k mile warranty) and my last two MBs were service loaners ($12k off for the sticker, CPO warranty).
I just don't see us buying new again.
AWD is critical, it will be a year before the Jag AWDs come off as service loaners. Plus, you know the old joke about never buy the first year of anything? They have a new engine, new tranny, and new drivetrain.
That's a little more "new" than I'm willing to take on.
