Another W212 with Vossen CV3 wheels
I know I know, per Hyperion667, Vossen CV3's are played out... but they still look decent to me and I haven't seen them on any cars in my area yet -- so they're not played out in my eyes.
I just can't wait months for the CV5 to be available with no definite date from Vossen... I want them now.
I just got them installed today. Here's an early cell phone pic. I'll do a photoshoot with my SLR camera this weekend.

this is a great wheel for easy cleaning and seeing the calipers
very well too........
they would look great plasti-dipped or powder coated too....

thanx for sharing

No plasti-dipping or powder coating these wheels unless I decide to get my car wrapped in a flat orange color.

These wheels do look super easy to clean and the calipers and rotors do show through nicely. Though now I can see the stock calipers and rotors and they're looking a bit small and plain.
Guess I'll be researching which calipers and rotors to get next.
The wheels are 20x8.5 ET44 Fronts and 20x10 ET55 Rears. Tires are 245/30/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears.
I lowered the car around 2 weeks ago with H&R Springs. If you decide to do it, I posted a DIY write-up for it here:

(Whoops.. just noticed some comments on there I haven't replied to).
Thanks Tomspo!

Guess I'll be researching which calipers and rotors to get next. For the rears, the right size would be 285/25/20 as that's the closest in diameter to our stock rears. But I'm finding the 275/30/20 (about 4% bigger in diameter) works out perfectly... no rubbing whatsoever. In fact, I'm starting to think I should have went with 285/30/20 as the rims stick out a bit pass the tires and the tires look like they're a bit stretched.
If you're concerned with potholes in the roads/freeways in your area, you might want to consider 19" wheels.
The offsets actually look just right to me the way they are now. I'll make sure I take some photos from the side when I do an SLR photoshoot of the car this weekend so you can see the flushness.
Trying to go with something that is esoteric and not played out is overrated. You end up spending way too much money for a set that will cost a fortune to fix if it ever gets bent or badly curbed just for a little more cred from a bunch of dudes on the street or internet that you will likely never meet. If you want light wheels though, gotta have forged.

Post some photos after you get them mounted!
Thanks!
Yes, the car had been lowered for around 2 weeks when the photo in my original post was taken.

The CV3s are actually not bad in weight at all. The wheel shop didn't have a scale I could use but going by my own 'lift with my hands and gauge' technique, they were pretty comparable in weight to this 3-piece forged wheel I was eyeing (Vellano).
