2013 Incentives

Edmunds is not showing any incentives at the moment, but I was able to get nearly $10k off a 2013 E350 wagon last week. A few others reported getting over $10k off as well in another thread

I negotiated $10K off MSRP for a 2013 E550 for my brother-in-law. I've read other folks reported getting $10-14K off. Discounts like that get you way below invoice (even more than with USAA and MBCA discounts).

Hi.
Please let me know if the statement below is accurate when negotiating sale price for a GL..
"An incentive is money buyer gives as part of downpayment and NOT money taken by dealer as part of negotiation to achieve lower sale price"
Thanks

In car sales, an incentive is anything given to the buyer to entice them to sign on the dotted line. It can be a keychain, floormats or a $20k discount.

2014 Sport White on black
Out the door includes tax, title, license and fees. However, when I got my car it was 12k less (56 to 44K) in 2013 for 2012 (four months into the FY). If you use your bank and not MBZ financial you can get a great deal. Since the FY14 has a mid-year face lift you should get a pretty good deal on a 20013 (or old body style). At the dealership a guy was negotiating a cash deal on a used 2012 E550 for 16K less than sticker and 8k less MSRP. He told me that he did most of the work over the internet and phone before closing in when he went to the dealership. I think if you stay away from the shark infested waters (the dealership) and from your home (internet/phone) would get you the best deal.
