Spent some time with the 2014 E class...
I agree with K-A that the redesign looks like an afterthought. Talking Sport models only..
I don't mind the front end, looks a bit CLS-like. The rear looks absurd as its overdone with the additional chrome, the side vents on the bumper, looks to be overkill - Very fat looking lower valence. Makes sense on an AMG car, not on a V6 base model etc. IMO...
What I really noticed was the interior changes,
1. 2014 sport interiors are different from a color perspective. On 2010-2013 sports, they have black carpet, headliner and dash regardless of interior color choice (MBTEX)
On the 2014 they have done away with that and the carpets match the seats.. Clearly a problem for folks who like light colored interiors but not carpets. I always go with the ash interior....so I like the dark carpeting and mats.. can always order black mats...for my 2014.
2. Where the climate control is, 2010-13 its a wood surround, I believe they eliminated that wood and its black plastic. De-contenting?? save $$?
I could get used to the rear, not sure I can do the same on the interior as I always order ASH interior ...
Just my thoughts. Don't have to agree.
I have only seen one E class up close and personal, and it wasn't one that was loaded.....
still have to make up my mind when I see it some more........
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new w222.......
There are two slim aluminum trims for either driver and passenger side that replaces wood trim , that also looks cool

MBUSA generally favors the "tone on tone" colors as part of the normal options list, but the "tone on black" equivalents are generally available as well via special order. In Canada, only the tone-on-black colors are offered (exception being beige).
