2014 MB E350 Luxury
Obsidian Black E350 Luxury arrived
We picked up our new ride-- Midwest, so 4Matic, luxury comfort, keyless go, driver's assistance, premium 1, LED lights, etc. What a great ride. The suspension is night & day different from the Sport version. Very smooth, & handles road irregularities extremely well. Distronic is a trip-- it's hard to trust it to stop when the traffic stops, but it sure works nicely. I'll try to attach photos. Thanks to all the advice on the site, we choose our options well for our situation-- basically flat country, snow, salt, and somewhat rough pavement.

2014 MB E350 Luxury
Hey, I hadn't even noticed. Cool. But, the steering wheel is heated, a must have for me-- basically the reason we had to do a new build, since there was only one E350 with a heated steering wheel in the region, & it had been sold. Here's another try with bigger pix.

I thought the luxury steering wheel is suppose to be that 4 prong ugly one ? IF not thats great news!

Looks like:
1. It's possible to get the LED lighting package with the luxury style. - GREAT NEWS
2. It's still not possible to get the SPORTS rims and flat steering wheel. - TRAGEDY

Even though it looked way out of place and uncharacteristic in the upright/squared/stately E interior, I do miss that AMG steering wheel that my 2011 E had. Perforated leather on the edges, flat bottom, defined cut, etc. The new "faux AMG wheel" that comes standard is definitely a downgrade, which is to be expected but it looks so close to the AMG steering wheel that it's easy to confuse them. I gotta say I think I prefer the 2010/2011 style AMG wheel without the plastic-aluminum bars as IMO it feels and looks more high quality, though less "snazzy".

Agree, K-A. I now regret not insisting on them switching my trade-in's '10 AMG with new '12 non-AMG. They told me it may not work. I now know its not true, since I saw people here switching (for whatever reason) their 2010-11 AMG steering wheels for 2012-on non-AMG ones, so vice versa would have worked too.

Congrats, especially on getting the luxury version. It is a very good choice. My 2010 has the then optional luxury wood & leather steering wheel - LOVE IT! I much prefer the four "prong" steering wheel for appearance and suits my driving style better.
I compared a 2014 luxury to a sport while at dealership the other day. Luxury looks much better IMO, but not as good as the 2010-2013 versions. Just can't see the purpose of those huge air intakes on the front bumper of an MB sedan.

There is not a charger in the glove compartment, just a shelf, the bin & the AC swivel switch. A 12 volt & the optional 110 volt outlets are on the rear of the center console. The 110 volt is just a 2 prong plug, so apparently it's not for laptop charging. Phone, camera battery & e-book would work.

Can you tell us what the Adaptive High Beam actually does on the US model. There are videos in this post to give an idea what to look for: Has Anyone Received their 2014 with LED Headlights Yet?
Did you get park assist and the surround view cameras?
