2014 LED Lighting Package

Anyone have this or going to get it? All I've heard is they look better, but do they offer any functional advantage when driving around the suburbs? For example will they give better low beam lighting?

GET THE LIGHT PACKAGE

Picked up my new 2014 e class with light package last thursday.

Could not believe how much brighter they are than the standard ones.

First mb with led headlights.

Great option if you can deal with the 1500.00 option.

Plus the daytime running lights are real cool also.

I got mine last Thurs and promptly drove to Nashville for the weekend, coming halfway back on Sunday night. The stretch on I40 from Nashville to Knoxville was empty and DARK. I had the lights set to Auto and on bright for miles at a time. After having OEM xenons for awhile but putting aftermarket LED lights on my Wrangler, I was expecting good results. 100% chance....worth every bit of $1500.

I took a pic of the dark road at night....I'll post it if you'd like.

they make a huge difference, and I really like the adaptive. They move/fill the gaps where needed. I am guessing the "fog" lights are built in so it undercuts when it has to.

That is one feature I would never skimp out on.

open road, I-40 eastbound between Knoxville and Bristol. Note the sign far off in the distance on the right side.

same sign, closer up as we pass

Huge difference, coming from a 2013 to a 2014. The lighting is superb. The daytime is also very bright at night once the car is off for great visibility. Always go for the lighting package with Mercs IMO

Awesome shots, thanks for posting them .It looks like an LMP1 Car storming thru La Sarthe in Le Mans
I am very satisfied with my car's adaptive Bi-Xenons but these shots suggest me MB takes one more step further in advanced lightning

Indeed. They certainly impressed me and I had full LED 7" headlight conversions from JW Speaker, 10" driving lights from IPF and amber LED fogs from Rigid on my Wrangler. We get a LOT of deer near my house, as we're on the banks of the upper Potomac and have park land between us and the river. Getting such an awesome OEM lighting package for $1500 was a no-brainer....I had nearly that much in aftermarket lighting on the Jeep. Of particular note is the sharp cutoff of the Benz to the driver's side....awesome lighting is nice, but not if you're blinding oncoming traffic.

Plus the cornering lights light up if you steer your wheel in either direction. Very bright indeed!
