Is this the same issue of this thread?
Yes. this is the issue.
I ended up buying the part from ebay, and replaced it on my own looking at the pdf's provided in this thread. Thanks to the guys who uploaded those kind pdf's~~!

I didn't try yet, but I guess you could fix the command knob following the first video shown in the thread.

Mmmm wow, I thought for a little bit that my issue was something electrically related given that the knob does rotate physically.

Thanks for the links of ebay, thou not sure if someone in USA can buy from ebay in Deutschland.

Nice to see there are DIY options that should last.

well thanks everyone for help lol
just finished putting epoxy on it , and its in the oven cooking. (used Hysol 9395 epoxy)

didnt like how it was put together and designed , too many little pieces , and without knowing what to do took some patience to disassemble.
hopefully wont have to deal with it again and the epoxy will hold it in place, otherwise gonna buy a new shaft and not waste time.

Parts associated with command control knob

The black part with the yellow silicone section that is inside the control knob shaft is cracked and I would like to replace it. Does anyone know where to get individual sections?

How did it crack? Human error...I broke it accidentally with not having a clear workspace. However, since this post, I did find a replacement for it on ebay from the same person that I bought the replacement metal shaft.

So I did the epoxy fix with the post and the knob now works when rotated, however now when I push it towards the armrest it won't work now. I must have damaged something. I have taken it apart and put back together 4 times to see if I did something wrong or if I can spot a broken piece. Any suggestions on a fix, or suggestions on a location of a new part? I have searched the web but have not really had success. Part number is A2128701451, I thought guys were buying it for around 200 ?

Check again hkw you put those rubber/silicone pieces in there , its not that easy to damage smth in there , unless you really dont know what you doing , in fact i had to disassemble mine twice because it wasnt working right lol
So just make sure you put it together the right way.

Yeah, you can get that part online for about $202 with free shipping. If you do a google search for the part number without the A, you get more hits.

Comand control knob DEAD!

HI,

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this.

my command control knob is completely dead. It doesn't scroll or work in any direction.

The buttons light up but that's all it does.

I suspect a wiring problem. Anyone has a wiring diagram for where the knob goes to?
