2011 E350 Luxury Scroll Knob Issue
I just recently replaced the command control knob myself in my 2011 E-350 Sedan. Altogether it was about $205 to do myself with a part from E-bay.
Just today I was on Sirius XM, I had just used a preset number to get to a station - decided to change stations with the command wheel and it will only scroll 3 stations ahead or behind. When I switch to AM/FM or any other function that requires scroll everything works normally.
Any ideas?

Solution From USA
I have already posted on C-Class thread and I think this might help you guys as well:
The plastic internal shaft has a breaking point. Not sure if this was designed as preventive measure to save the entire unit from breaking or just sneaky planned obsolescence.
There is a seller in USA who also offers an upgraded aluminium shaft.
Attached is a helpful PDF file on how to do the replacement.
They have it on Amazon Prime too IE Works Replacement Shaft

In addition to just the shaft, you can just send the whole comand knob to some company who will do the work for you, you just need to take it out. It's on eBay for $60.

I was able to replace the shaft based on info in this thread and the linked YouTube videos. However, I'm having problems getting the center console release cover to snap back into place. Anyone else encounter a similar issue? I can get it to slide back on, it just won't snap/click into place. Any advice on how to get it back together?TIA
