iPass Placement?

Where do you stick your Illinois iPass transponder? I'd like to put it behind my mirror, but in my 2014 E, the dual camera housing is huge. I'd like to stick on the electronics housing case behind the mirror, but figure it won't be picked up. I was also thinking right on the top of dash, but it reflects on to the windshield.

Solved

I guess I'm the only one who cares. I solved my problem. I replaced my iPass with the newer and smaller transponder. I mounted it dead center right behind the mirror. It is just small enough where I don't see it.

You can also get a license plate transponder, but you have to do that through customer service. Jewel will sell you the smaller version. I used the box it came in to return my older model.

I put my EZ-Pass transponder right behind the mirror where I can't see it from the driver's seat.

But my car doesn't have all the cameras that you mention.

Have you tried the sunroof? I managed to put the California toll road transponder on the sunroof and it was thin enough to even open the sunroof fully without any issues

Now that's a cool idea. Illinois transponder is small, but pretty thick. But a great idea!

I put it on the dash close to the center of the windshield, inside an IPass wallet I bought on Amazon. I cannot find the wallet info, but check Amazon. It works fine, except for drive up toll booths in West Virginia, where I needed to hold the transponder out the window. Weird.

Where are you located? Wondering FL as I have a sunpass but EZ-pass is another option, though I would assume its used in other states.
