Im looking at getting some 20s. Shop is telling me to go 20x8.5 with 34et up front and 20x10 with 40et in the rear.
My question is, won't this stick out too much? I don't know if I want to lower it yet. Also saying 245/35 front and 275/30 rear. I've read from the gurus here that the front won't work but with that offset could it have a chance? I don't like how a 235 wouldn't extend to the outer lip of the rim.

I'm running 245/30/20 front and was with a 285/25/20 rear that was with a falken 452's. I tried using Hankook Ventus V12 285/30/20 on the rears since the 452's falken are discontinued. They rub in the inner back liner..so a 275/30/20 will fit the best.
Hope this answers your questions.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks. I ended going with 34et offset up front with 235/35/20 and in back 40et offset with 275/30/20s.
The wheels in the back look like they're sticking out. I'm not used to it. I'm kinda wish they tucked in a little more.
Thanks for your reply and all the replies on all the old threads. They helped out tremendously.
Now I just have to find someone in Sacramento to lower the car.

The rim purchase was a last ditch effort by my wife to keep the car. I switch cars pretty often. I can't even last a 36 month lease.
So I looked on Craigslist and called around. These niche milans were in stock and in the offsets to match the car so I bought them.
You're right, it looks like the wheels are sticking out past flush but the car has settled a bit and it's looks great
even without being lowered. The wheels are flush up top but as the wheels cambers out it sticks out. It looks good tho.
I'm still on the fence about keeping it.
I knew when I bought it I should have gone with a e550.

If you lower you will rub crazy, even if you hit a big dip and bottom out not lowered, you're going to rub in the rear. The rear offset on a 10" wheel should have been around -48, front should be fine, close, but fine.

I'm running front:235x35x20 on a 8.5 wide wheel with -35 offset, rear is: 275x30x20 on a 9.5 wide wheel with the same -35 offset. Front and rear is real flush with this setup, -38 or -40 would probably be better for me since I am lowered quite a bit, but I still don't rub. Do a search in this forum on,"20" wheels", plenty of posts and answers out there.

I am running a(rear) 9.5" wheel with -35 offset, same tire as you. That is 1/2" wider than my setup, but your offset is only 5mm difference(for reference, 15mm=1/2"+-), and I am as close to rubbing as it gets. I can barely slide a piece of paper between my wheel and wheel well. Mine is aggressive but still flush, yours look like they stick out a little.

Really, same offset? You can be the one to tell the OP to go ahead and lower, that he will not rub. I wouldn't even think twice, its going to rub. Give him a phone number for a good bodyshop for repairs....lol/jk

Member..Juliana21 has same setup, he will tell you the same thing. a 275/30 on a 10" wide wheel is slightly stretched. most likely a 285 lowered would rub at that offset

The wheels does however stick out a little toward the bottom. The top of the tire does would not tuck if I were to slam it, which I would never do anyway. I would have liked it about half t inch in but the next offset in a 20x10 would have been in the 50s et.
Everyone that has seen it, thinks it looks good. I'm still not sure.
Thanks for the comments and help guys.

Yeah, I wish mine had a small amount of offset more in the rear also, instead of -35, maybe -38ish. - 48/-50 would be perfect for you. The way mine is doesn't rub except on off camber driveways, pulling in on an angle ,I get a tiny rub. Looks good the way it is, but over time you will want to lower(we're just programmed that way, lol). Good luck with whatever you do.

Quote from Juliana21:
Wheels:
20 x 8.5 F et34 235/35
20 x 10 R et40 275/30
NO Rubbing!!! not once .
This is what Juliana21 is running, same setup. You are right my friend, I honestly would not think that would be the case. I guess because the tire is stretched more on the 10" wheel.

you say "sticking out" yes the wheel is very slightly maybe 5mm.. but picture the car lowered and the tire tucked in the fender. It would look perfect!

Thank you. I decided to get eibach instead of other brand. Its still comfort. In fact, I went to mountain with 4 persons and full on the trunk yesterday. It didn't rub at all.... My set up tires are 235/35/20 front, 255/35/20 rear. If I put bigger tires, its gonna be rubbing for sure.
