2011 E550 Sedan/CLS550 Price Check

Hello,

I am shopping for a new vehicle and am looking at either a 2011 E550 or a 2011 CLS550. I've researched the forums for hours about the pros and cons of each. I'm looking at these two and wanted the sage advice/opinions of the forums regarding whether there is some wiggle room for the price and which was a better deal.

CPO 2011 E550 Sedan
Mileage: 8.5k
Price: $43k

CPO 2011 CLS550
Mileage: 37.5k
Price: $43k

Thanks so much.

Good milage on that E550. Hard to tell anything about the price because we have no idea about the options. The E550 can carry up to $20k in options so that $43k could be a great deal or a horrible deal.

CLS550 only if you want the exclusivity or like the styling. A CLS550 is an E550 wearing sexy clothes and carrying a higher price. Also the 2011 CLS550 is based on the W211 (last gen). Get a 2012 CLS if you are going to get a CLS... unless you like the 2011 styling better.

2011 e550 Pricing

Bought CPO 2011 e550 4matic, sport pkg, pkg 2, panorama roof, massage seat, burl wood, 35k miles for $38,700 net. Original sticker = $74, 600

Finance through MB Financial and get first 2 payments or $1200 off. Put on autopay and financing went from 1.99% to 1.74%

Car is flawless…dealer replaced faded wood, new tires, new brakes, new rear airmatic.

A three year old e550 with only 8,500 miles is a great find. E550 are rare to begin with let alone one with that kind of mileage. CPO gets you out to 100,000 miles so you have a way better than new warranty, 92,000 miles. I would try to negotiate more time on the warranty because unless you drive 30,000 miles per year your years will expire long before the miles. If it has the P2 options package and some other goodies like Disctronic(if you care) could be a sweet deal. Happy hunting.. Regards. Ned.

A 2011 E550 might have an in-service date of mid-late 2010. That means irrespective of how many miles OP may drive, the warranty will finish in abt 18 months or so.

Thanks for the info guys! Sorry I didn't list all the options, but at any rate, the car was gone before I had a chance to even go check it out. I'll keep on hunting...

2014 E550-sold 😩
I purchased an 2010 E550 4Matic a few weeks ago with P1,P2(heat/cool seats, massage, keyless go, etc) and Parktronic, Pano roof for $31,000. It has 43,000 miles and warranty left until May. The 550 is rare, but keep looking and you will find one.

Here she is in all of her winter glory:
