Where's the microphone?
Can someone tell where is the microphone situated in the car ( for hands free talking). Yes.... I can talk loud from anywhere but if I can direct the voice to a particular direction it may be clearer for the listener. Thanks.

I think it depends on model and feature set.
On my 2011 E550 P2 with all the funny stuff, there is a microphone grill on each side the the structure that holds the camera that watches the lane markers, rain sensors, etc. It (one side) is pictured in the manual, but the location arrow is not really correct.
Don't know if there is actually a mic in BOTH grills --- but would seem to be best in case a passenger had to talk to MBrace, 911, etc., in an emergency.

Only one microphone, in the "Roof Mounted Operating Unit" on the left side of it. The only thing under the "windshield plate" is the rain sensor and the multifunction camera.

I believe the microphone is on the dash. On the right side of the steering column. Or something that looks like a microphone. Can you guys tell me what it is ( if it's not the microphone). Thanks.

It's a sensor for measuring the interior's weather or temperature sensor not microphone
