Moving on

Well I am finally stepping up into a 2014 E63S , Picking her up tomorrow. My E550 was a great car to me, no complaints(except for front rotors) and never left me stranded. It was a pleasure to be part of the w212 forum, you all always helped and offered much advice when needed. I'll post some pics of the new car when I get a chance and I will definitely be reading the threads on here in the future.

Thanks Guys. Yeah, I'm pretty excited to be getting the new car. It figures that I am supposed to pick it up today and its pouring down rain outside, guess I'll just have to test out that AWD...LOL. oh man you love that black

that sounds like an excellent build: it's going to be awesome man!
in regards to wheels: HRE is a great product and I'm very happy with all the sets I have: total of 5 but only one set are in use right now since I got rid of the E class and my 911...

the fit, quality and finish is what's kept me going back to HRE, yes, they are pricey, but you get what you pay for and considering a 100K car, they should be exactly what you want, can't wait to see what you go with RR!!

Congrats! I see a Black 2014 E63 everyday on my drive to work. Looks so amazing! I never understood the badge on the dashboard. My listing says this on my current car but I don't see it; assuming this was meant for distronic. Post pics!

Yeah, I have to ask the dealer about the badge on dash option because I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in the car on the ride home tonight,,, but then again, I kept the radio down and just listened to the exhaust note and the blurps during downshifts....AWESOME

Congratulations - what a reason to move on! I drive an E550 and find it to be a speeding ticket waiting to happen. I cannot imagine what it must be like with the E63.

Thanks Guys. Yeah, I really like it, I was worried that being inside the cabin would feel too much like my 11' 550, but with all the suede(roof linear, pillars, steering wheel), and the leather dash and surroundings, it feels like a more richer car inside. Then, you start it and the exhaust tone is just unbelievable to the ears. My 550 definitely had enough power, obviously this has more, but without speaking about power, I feel like I just have a better car all around. I never thought there was THAT much of a difference between non AMG cars and AMG cars, but the little things really add up to make a different animal.

I would be interested to know if the car has lower road noise compared to the E550 you had. I would think the E63 has better "padding" to keep road noise out and if so then this should be easily doable on the poor guys E-class too.

Nice car but for me that new nose job just won't work no matter what the engine under the hood is...

Yes, definitely a quieter cabin, and feels real tight compared to my 550 when new. As for the front end, I hated it at first when they did the facelift, but now I really like it and think the older front end looks dated.

Well, for the engine you have that front is not as bad as for some lower powered models. The looks is for a fast car and that is what you have.

I agree with that, the facelift models look more sport/race oriented where the pre facelift looks more sport/luxury, or stately.
