Does anyone have opinions or specs on the standard sound system in the E250?
Is the HK system worth the extra money for an average listener?

 

Hk is a part of the p1 package which is very common. I think you would have to special order the car if you want it without p1.

Sound is adequate. I have martin logan electrostats around mcintosh gear at home. The sound in e250 is not irritating at all.

 

In Canada, h/k is a stand-alone option on the E250BT. On an E-Class, I would spend the extra $1000 for it if you listen to music. If you're a talk radio person, don't bother.

4x25 watts is awful for a vehicle at this price point.

 

Agreed ! That's why HK sound is a must-have option for music lovers !!! However, if you only listen to sat-radio or talk-radio (as mentioned above by YYZ-E55), save your money.

 

HK we find in 2014 cars is not and will not be that of Bang O' quality but it is much better quality than HK out of 2014 MBZ. I can live with it.
