What Wiper Fluid to use?

What wiper fluid you guys use for the E class?
My car recently started showing "check wiper fluid level" message.
The manual recommends some fluid called "summer fit" which I can't find locally. I checked with the dealer and they say that I can use whatever is available in local stores but they prefer "Rain X". Is this the general consensus? Thanks.

OEM manuals will always refer to OEM products. Use whatever you want.

BTW

Rain x is pretty good on windshield. It repels water and there is no need for using vipers above 40km/t

But on my car im using regular water. Only when its winter that you need to have wiper fluid because of freezing temp and the water can freeze inside your tank.

2014 E550-sold 😩
I believe the Rain X product he is asking about is the fluid, not the windshield treatment product. I just use the normal fluid found at every store for as cheap as I can buy it. I can't imagine plain water doing anything, but smearing bug guts.

Thanks. I did search. Most of the threads were about technical malfunction of wipers. On the internet I get sometimes contradicting statements such as "don't ever use Rain X" and the sort. I'd be glad if you could direct me to any threads regarding my particular question.

My dealer fills up my tank each service. I also bought 2 extra gallons of summer fluid for $11 or $13 (cant remember).

I use full bottle of any reputable window cleaner that women use to clean up their windows .
I don't add water but if you add it make sure it's not a tap water because it may clog up the lines in long term

Not a good idea if the window cleaner contains ammonia.

I use regular tap water and have for years. The additives in cleaners can corrode the plastic lines and not great for painted surfaces either.
