Urgent! VIN look up -- Delivery Date

Is there a way to see when the car was delivered to the dealer... In a sense looking to see how long it was on the lot before I took delivery....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! Anyone???

Doesn't the label on the driver side pillar tell when the car was manufactured? You should be able to estimate when it got to the dealer based on that.

May service department invoices always show the delivery date. The service department must get it from the VIN.

However the delivery date listed is NOT the delivery date the car was delivered to the dealer. My ordered E350 wagon shows a delivery date of 10/23/13 when I know for a fact that it was delivered to the dealer on 11/29/13 as I picked it up 11/30/13. So the delivery date shown is actually when the car was manufactured, add another 4+ weeks for shipping.

CarFax will show the date it was offered for sale on dealers lot.

Look in the glove compartment, sometimes they put the window sticker in there after the sale and it will say what port and approximately when it came in (usually).
