1. I'm about to place an order for a new 2015 E350 (luxury). Any advice?

Specifically, I'm trying to decide whether I need Premium 1 package. I don't really need Navigation (I prefer Google Maps anyway and the other bells and whistles of P01 don't appear necessary. The only thing I really need is a rear-view camera. Now some web sites say the rear-view camera is standard on 2015 E350, while others say it's still part of P01. Any advice would be much appreciated!

2. What would be a reasonable price for the above spec ?

Thank you !

Cell phone mapping works fine in urban areas but is next to useless in areas where there is limited or no reception.

I just completed a drive across Colorado and New Mexico in a rental and figured I had it covered with Google on an AT&T iPhone, Verizon Navigator and Blackberry Traffic on a VZW Blackberry and Sprint Telenav and Google on a Sprint LG G3. Impossible. I was kicking myself the entire trip for not bringing the Garmin.

How do you add destination to the subtotal and come up with the final amount? There seems to be an extra $1500 in there.

Subtotal $ 63,110
Destination & Delivery $ 925
Total $ 65,535???

Nicely optioned car. But you'll miss out on the wonderful voice of the lady ( which adds to the sophistication of this awesome car).....

An otherwise fully-optioned car without P01 is going to be a dog at resale, assuming you're not planning to keep this car for a decade.

Thank you, CEB. You're right - the subtotal was off because it didn't include the lighting package - I updated the subtotal, so now the total is correct

My anecdotal experience of reading forum goers talk about should they or shouldn't they have opted for built in navigation -- most wish they would have gotten it and very few wish they wouldn't have gotten it

This is for many makes and models

You'll forget about the extra cash in a month

Might as well add the ventilation for the seats too. Otherwise nice build.

A reasonable price would be invoice minus the greater of any fleet discount or
manufacturer to dealer cash at time of delivery.

MB has a large dealer holdback and lots of other back end money (like that from the consumer satisfaction survey). The dealer can easily sell you the car at or a little below invoice and still make a very nice profit. My deal was .5 percent under invoice minus the greater of any fleet discount or
manufacturer to dealer cash at time of delivery on an ordered 2015 E63 S and, if I lease, the base MB money factor without dealer markup and base $795 acquisition fee without dealer markup.

And shop around to different dealers. Email the General Managers or General Sales Managers with your proposal. Avoid salespeople and only deal with them after you have reached the deal with management.

To get my deal, I contacted about 15 dealers in four different states (New York, New Jersey, Florida and California).
