With its stout design, the Mercedes Benz 4.6L V8 Biturbo engine provides excellent luxury class power for the 2011+ Mercedes-Benz lineup. The stock output of the M278 engine is rated at 402 horsepower and 443 torque, but these engines are quite under rated from the factory. A completely stock CLS550 4Matic put down 443hp and 509tq!

An Alpha calibration file will take full advantage of your 4.6L BiTurbo’s ability. By precisely adjusting camshaft timing, boost output and air/fuel ratios, your M278 equipped 550 series will produce an incredible 530 horsepower with no other form of modification!
MIND NUMBING TORQUE AT YOUR COMMAND
What’s even more impressive when having an Alpha file installed on your 550 Series Mercedes-Benz is the monstrous torque that you will have on command. Through our non-invasive update to the powertrain control module (PCM), your AMG will produce 664 ft-lbs of torque! To put this in perspective, that’s a 155 ft-lb gain! That's some impressive power. Does the power come on in first gear or does it really come into play in second gear and on?

What do u expect a 1/4 mile time to be in an e550 4matic 2012+ with your tune alone?
I'm guessing 12.0 seconds or better

We actually did a Vbox run before and after. Mind you this was done on a CLS550 on regular all season tires but the conditions were the same for both tests.
