Wiper bringing streak back with it after wipe

This is so annoying. Had the factory blades still on my 2010 e350 and they started to fail. Bringing back a streak of water after a wipe only on the drivers side. Bought some new valeo same style wipers and still doing this. Anybody else?

I don't have a streak but after the last wipe, it tosses extra drops from fluid remaining on the wipers back onto the windshield. I find that a little annoying. Also, I wonder if I need to get them adjusted. They spray OK except when the wipers are in the lowest part of the swipe. In that case, the spray seems to hit the blade and/or arm. I'd like to spray the windshield when the wipers are down, so it will bring fluid back over to the left side of the windshield but am not really able to make that happen. When I spray with the wipers about vertical, the spray is good but then the wipers push all that down to the bottom again. So part of the windshield does not seem to get an optimal amount of fluid. I wonder if they could be aimed a little higher so that they spray over the arm/blades but not so high so as to spray mostly the roof.

I'm actually going to get some cheapo wipers and see if anything changes. Wondering if there's a way to change the tension on the arm now.

My wipers were replaced 2 months ago, and do this. Maybe the ice screwed them up?

Went to the dealer today and had my wipers replaced. Had to pay $72.77 for the set. I was told there are no replacements blades, had to buy the whole set. First time since I bought my car in October 2011 that the wipers had to be changed. Such is life I guess !!!

Don't know where you live but the expectation wipers will last forever is a tad naive don't you think?
The edges wear over time.
I change mine every 2 yrs. I also stopped using Rain-X.
You can get a Bosch set at Amazon.com for $53 free shipping.

They work great now. FYI...... on the tips of the OEM replacement blades, there is a small round dot. Dealer SA said when the dot turns yellow it's time to changes the blades usually in about 2 years. A good reminder.

Do you guys mean Rain-X wiper washer fluid or Rain-X windshield treatment?? I have a streaking issue too on my W204

It was replaced but still has the same issue, slightly better though. I just feel it could be very dangerous to drive in the city on a dark rainy day.

"Rain-X wiper washer fluid" -> I advise against using it.

I'm still using the one from the dealer. Never ran out of washer fluid on this cars been 3 months

I usually runs out every other weeks on my previous car, spraying tailgaters with my headlight washers

I kinda feel that the dealer one is more sticky and doesn't smell as good as the rain-x though
