Hey everyone! My name is Julie, I just bought my first MB a few months ago. I have always driven VWs and Audis in the past (usually mildly modified). When it came time to replace my last vehicle, a VW Touareg that I LOVED, I had every intention of just getting a new one. But in my searches, I stumbled upon an E350 wagon, and I fell in love. My mom has a 2012 E350, so I knew it was a great car (she has always driven Mercedes). But I have a soft spot for wagons, and we just recently sold our 2007 Passat wagon. So I started a new search, and found the perfect one...a 2011 black wagon with 40k miles and natural beige (drool) interior. Even though the car was in Texas and I'm in Ohio, I took my chances, and agreed to buy it sight unseen. Best decision I ever made (well, aside from marrying my husband, lol). So here she is. Since we got it, I had it fully detailed (the previous owner obviously didn't know how to hand wash a car), had a couple dents removed, we lowered the front on H&R springs, replaced all the wood trim through warranty, installed a roof rack and put it on ESM RS reps. En route are 5mm spacers all around, and Airmatic lowering links for the rear. I am hopelessly in love with this car.

Will do! The springs were easy peasy. Got them for $222 shipped and install was straight forward. Unfortunately the rear is as low as it will go, without help. The air suspension lowered a tad to try to match the front, but we will need the lowering links to get it down another inch or so (hopefully). We ordered the links from Great Britain yesterday and they were just delivered. Seriously?? Not bad for $60 shipped! A friend of mine has used the links on a few of his vehicles (S6, Tesla) and gave them rave reviews. Hopefully we'll get those on tonight, and then have it aligned. But so far the ride quality is amazing. I can only notice the suspension when hitting rough spots in the road, it's a bit harsher, but still very smooth compared to other vehicles I have lowered.

Lowering links installed, and boy, what a difference! Last pic is the before and after. Just when I thought I couldn't love this car more. Also a side by side with my mom's E (both are filthy, it rained all day). Spacers set to arrive Saturday, alignment scheduled for Monday. I've owned some cool cars but man, this is quickly becoming my favorite.

I have always liked the E wagons. That is why I have one in Pearl Beige Metallic.

Nope, he's not on here. he currently drives a 2012 Passat TDI (lowered on H&R coilovers and LM reps) as he drives 30 miles each way to work. He previously had a couple S4s. We went to Passats after having kids, as S4 backseats are impossibly small. But an S6 is next, hopefully in the next year or so.
