RENNTECH TUNE - E550 - SPECS AFTER TUNE?
Hi Guys,
I purchased a 2010 E550 4MATIC with the RENNTECH ECU tune and headers. As per RENNTECH, the HP increased from 382 (stock) to 402 after the tune.
Any idea on what the 0-60 would now be? Stock as we all know is 5.2-5.3. Yes, I know I can test it, but I'm wondering if anyone else would know or has any experience with a tuned E550.
Thanks!

2014 E550 4MATIC TUNED - Turbo Upgraded Stage 3
Mine after tuned got in 3.49s (Best run)
You can just buy OBD2 BT adapter around $15~100.
Connect to your iphone or android phone with apps such as Torque Pro...etc.
Vbox is more accurate but price is around $600~800
Here is a Video link for torque app

I highly doubt the accuracy of the accelerometers in a cell phone vs an actual Race computer or tuner like what car and driver uses. There is a reason no one bases zero to 60 times off what a cell phone says. 3.49 would be absolutely insane, but seems very highly unlikely. Maybe in a 550 with 600 horsepower.
See what a real car computer says.

I cant speak for the 2010's but here is what a tune did to a 2007 w211 with the same original horsepower numbers.

I'm not sure if a eurocharge tune is the same as renntech? It also doesn't say how much hp he finally ended up with after the tune...unless I'm blind lol. Either way anything under 5 seconds would be good. I guess I can safely say I'm under 5.

I read on the Renntech site it was only 20 more HP with the ECU upgrade. I'm not sure if the Headers make an additional difference.

Yes, maybe the headers would make some difference, but I am not sure. When I bought the car, the seller stated that the car was at 450HP. I'm not sure where that number came from though.

450 would be perfect. Good for you, even just over 400 HP is great. Unless you're racing at the track you'll be able to hold your own against almost everything out there.

In general, yes, your car should sound a little throatier and with more rumble than a stock E550 without aftermarket headers. Why not add a cat-back exhaust system and really complete the package?
I think the RennTech ECU tune is conservative, and pushing the N/A 5.4L Engine to a nice increase without compromising reliability, etc.
